Vehicles (HEV), the needs for thermal management are increasing and becoming more complex. SFC

developing state of the art components and sub-system solutions, both for the Automotive and Industrial

We are looking for a suitable candidate to support our developing team as:

Application Engineer
Location: Piscani

RESPONSIBILITIES
 Application of product designs in order to meet customer specification optimizing value to cost –
support customer engineers providing technical solutions according to the level of responsibility
contractualized with customer
 Creation of product part lists (BOM)
 Analysis of customer specifications, 3D and 2D data, support feasibility studies, tolerance studies,
FMEA analysis
 Support Customer and Internal Engineers to ensure that Customer System Design Specifications
are appropriate, sustainable with SFC standards and obtained in a timely manner
 Collection and management of the comprehensive documentation linked with ECR
 Work with manufacturing divisions to ensure the coherence between products designed
specifications and the manufacturing capabilities / Support plants with technical expertise when
required
 Support creation of test planning (DVP/ PVP) maximizing the internal test vs external labs and
focusing on design robustness vs variances (GDT extreme conditions, component sustainability,
process variances induced)
 Support in customer communication / Technical decks - meeting
 Creation/update and Maintenance of master data in SFC PDM system (Upchain) and customer
systems
 Support technical discussion / exchange / SE Teams/ Initiatives between SFC and Customer for
RFQ, Quality solving, Program product development, ECR phases
 Utilize the prototype facility in order to validate serial designs, check the processability and
support production start of vehicle builds
 Work with internal Materials Group to ensure that appropriate materials are specified for
products
 Support internal APQP process (ProMIS) - Ensure new product launches meet internal and
external time & technical expectations
 Work with internal and external tooling designers to ensure that design are in-line with toolings
standards and ergonomics
 Work with laboratory Engineers to ensure that performance testing of components is fully
understood and completed to meet customer timing
 Carry out cost reduction proposals through VA/VE analysis
REQUIREMENTS
Education and/or Experience

 Bachelor/Master (or equivalent) Engineering, Automotive Engineering , Plastics Engineering or

Mechanical Engineering
 Fluent in English, additional European languages are valued
 Proficient in use of CAD system, preferably CATIA
 MS Office Knowledge
 3 – 5 years experience in the automotive industry
