ABOUT ME
Experienced Agriculture and Economic Livelihood Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the NGOs and
research industry. Skilled in research, project management, analytical skills, monitoring the progress of projects, data
analysis, maintaining project deliverables and gathering and inputting data into databases. More so, I have been
involved with gender and HIV/AIDS initiatives, community mobilization, field research, capacity building as well as
planning and implementing community based projects. Strong business development professional with a Master's
degree focused in Rural Development from Haramaya University. I am looking for a position in a challenging
environment that strives for organizational and personal development.
WORK EXPERIENCE
1. Coordinate livestock production and marketing activities in 6 Woredas of Oromia Regional State of East Hararghe
Zone (Babile, Midega Tola, Chinaksen, Jarso, Gursum and Fedis)
2. Manage and support a small team of livestock production and marketing officers (6 staff members) in order to
achieve Project’s objectives
3. Manage partnerships with livestock input and output market service providers
4. Leveraging the data from the market assessments, co-design co-investment proposals with livestock marketing /
value addition service providers to extend their reach towards pastoral and farming communities
5. Promote improved livestock technologies in the 6 Harar Cluster Operational Woredas

anage joint initiatives adaptively to identify what work (and what does not) and take successful initiatives to scale
1. Coordinate agriculture and economic livelihoods activities in 9 Woredas of Oromia Regional State of East Hararghe
Zone (Babile, Deder, Melka Belo, Midega Tola, Chinaksen, Jarso, Gursum, Fedis and Meta)
2. Supervise 3 Agriculture and Economic Livelihoods Senior Officers and 9 Livelihood Experts at Headquarter and
Woreda level, respectively
1. Mainstreaming of gender, social and nutrition issues in scalable and shock responsive safety net and emergency
interventions
2. Ensure gender & social development (GSD) and nutrition provisions in the planning and implementation of
program outputs
3. Organize social behavior change communication (SBCC) sessions focusing on gender and gender-based violence
(GBV) messages
4. Linking PSNP clients to available social services
5. Monitoring and reporting Child labor protection
6. Develop gender and nutrition sensitive livelihood package
7. Ensure accessibility of livelihoods interventions to women and other vulnerable social groups
8. Provide appropriate technical support for female clients in business skills
