protection & management of the selected sites

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified
companies to submit electronic offers as follows:

The technical services of a firm/organization/institution are required for development of


integrated site management plans and Capacity Development for Sustainable Tourism
Development of the following selected Hindu & Buddhist Archaeological sites in Punjab:

1. Mankiala Stupa, Mankiala (Buddhist)


2. Katas Raj Temples, Choa Saidan Shah (Hindu temples with Sikh and Buddhist structures)
3. Bhir Mound and Dharmarajika Stupa, Taxila (Buddhist)

Proposals from both International and national firms/organizations/institutions will be accepted.


It is expected that a team of both international and national experts will be required who have
experience of implementation of best practices, quality standards and innovations in the sector.
National experts are required to ensure that the requirements of the local context have been
considered and provide on-ground support to collect data and follow up with monitoring the
quality of implementation of plans with stakeholders.

The purpose of this notice is to provide general information on the requirements for the
procurement process and to inform interested suppliers how to obtain a copy of the Solicitation
Documents.

Interested companies who wish to participate in the OIC must request for a complete set of
Solicitation Documents, available free of charge, from UNESCO contact person at the address
shown below.

The technical proposal and financial proposal, in two separate emails, should be submitted
electronically to islamabad@unesco.org without any copy to any other email addresses, no
later than August 13, 2020, 5:00 pm Islamabad time in strict compliance with the instructions
as stipulated in the Solicitation Documents. Offers addressed at any other email accounts will
be disqualified. It should also be noted that all files together should not exceed 10 MB.

UNESCO reserves the right to amend the documents at any time during the solicitation process.
Any amendments or clarifications will be communicated directly to all Bidders who have
requested for a complete set of solicitation documents and officially confirmed their intention to

submit a sealed tender. No remuneration will be made to companies for preparation and
submission of their tenders.
