RESOLUTION NO. 02
Series of 2024

A RESOLUTION CONCURRING TO THE APPOINTMENT OF LILIA ABAD AND ANNA

ROSE M. MOJADO AS BARANGAY NUTRITION SCHOLAR (BNS) OF BARANGAY
MAULAWIN, MUNICIPALITY OF PAGSANJAN

WHEREAS, Chapter 2 Section 387 (b) of the Local Government Code of 1991
provides that the Sangguniang Barangay may form community brigades and creates such
other positions of offices as may be deemed necessary to carry out the purpose of the
barangay government in accordance with the needs of public service, subject to the
budgetary limitations and personal services prescribed under Title Five, Book II of this
Code;
WHEREAS, PD 1569 aimed to provide atleast one (1) Barangay Nutrition Scholar
(BNS) per barangay and such BNS shall be responsible for planning and coordinations,
advocacy and promotion, monitoring end evaluation and resource m community
mobilization of community nutrition programs and activities;
 WHEREAS, Hon. Jonathan P. Almontero, Punong Barangay appoints Lilia G. Abad as
the Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) and submitted the same appointment to this august
body for review and concurrence, to wit;

WHEREAS, after thorough study and deliberations, this Sanggunian found that the
appointee satisfies the minimum qualification requirements as provided for under the
Local Government Code of 1991;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Alden M. Castillo duly seconded by

Kagawad Danilo A. Olivar and all members present; BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY
RESOLVED, to concur to the appointment issued by Punong Barangay for Lilia G. Abad as
Barangay Nutrition Scholar;

RESOLVED FURTHER, to send copies of this Resolution to all the officials and
offices of the government concerned for their information.
