Introduction
Dark Paris is an adequate book, but there is more room for improvement. The
writer could have added more characters to create a more creative environment.

The characters
The character of Louis was very underwhelming for the main character of the
story. He was called the chosen one even though he leads a dull and basic life.
They could have revealed more of his past before it. “One day when a stranger
comes and asks him to come back to the same spot at 9 pm tomorrow he
agrees”, He seemed like a brave character when he came back to the catacombs
the next day.
Relic seemed cryptic and secretive as she was portrayed as a person, not of this
world. This character played the role of how it was supposed to be played.
The Doorkeeper was a very interesting and captivating character who would
capture the minds of the readers.
He seemed more like a wizard than a doorkeeper.

The choice of setting

The choice of setting wasn't that intriguing to me but the minds of the 12-year-old
readers will absolutely be captured by it. The setting of the catacombs was a
great choice as the bones and flickering torches gave it a very eerie and ominous
ambiance.

Popular between 12-16

Yes, it can be popular among the age group of 12 to 16 years as it is quite
interesting and a mysterious book.

Conclusion
The story lacked a few elements but overall pulled through. They could have
slowed down and given a little more detail so that we knew their personalities
without spoiling the thriller mystery aspect of the story. All in all, we would give
this a 3-5.
