In the modern era, global population growth leads to urbanization.

It has become
a hot topic of interest to many people. Many people believe that urbanization has
more benefits than disadvantages. In my opinion, although it has disadvantages,
its advantages are still greater.
It is almost undeniable that urbanization puts enormous pressure on many
different aspects of society. In some large cities and towns, there are so many
urban settlers that it is difficult for the government to control them or provide
enough employment opportunities for them. Therefore, a part of the population
may become unemployed and forced to commit crimes to cover their daily lives.
In fact, crime rates in urban areas are often higher than in rural areas. To create
ideal conditions for the urbanization process, many facilities such as
manufacturing factories, medical centers, and continuing education facilities are
built. This means that natural landscapes need to be destroyed, negatively
affecting air, water and soil quality. The next generations will not have the
opportunity to enjoy fresh, clean air and will be forced to drink polluted water.
There is no doubt that our children will be susceptible to diseases such as lung
cancer, dysentery and typhoid.
On the other hand, in my opinion, I also think that urbanization is beneficial to
people to somes certain extents. First, it stimulates a country's economic growth.
In fact, some basic characteristics of urbanization promote production and trade
activities, maintain an abundant labor force, and lead to changes in economic
structure. Thus, this dominance will help this region's GDP increase and per capita
income increase significantly. Next, urbanization renews and modernizes the
quality of infrastructure. It is not difficult to witness the appearance of high-rise
buildings and skyscrapers with advanced transportation systems. For example,
some large cities in Western countries such as Germany, France, and Italy have
many means of transportation such as subways, high-speed trains with
expressway and expressway systems; Furthermore, people in urban areas have
many choices of accommodation and public amenities. These highlights will make
travel more convenient and change the quality of life. Finally, urbanization is the
key to attracting foreign investment, bringing huge capital to the country. Most
urban areas have large populations, large larvae markets and modern
infrastructure. That is the condition to create an ideal environment, suitable for
other countries to invest money.
In short, I still think that urbanization has both advantages and disadvantages, but
its advantages outweigh its disadvantages. And I hope that in the future
urbanization will modernize the quality of life and stimulate economic growth in
many countries.
