Waterbury Ocean Collection

One thing that we have learned in recent times is to care for our environment. As much as
we have destroyed it, it is time to show it some care and love so it can survive for future
generations.

For this mission, we came up with the Waterbury Ocean Collection, which will be launching
this Ocean’s Day in partnership with the trusted organisation of #tide. They are doing
some amazing work protecting our oceans from waste and helping us bring this collection
to life.

To start the process, we dove deep into uncharted waters to collect the plastic. What we
saw was wretched. Our marine life suffers to breathe and is tangled in plastic. Our oceans
are currently estimated to contain 150 million metric tonnes of plastic waste. Despite the
fact that they make up 70% of our world, we have managed to cause severe damage to
them.
After the plastic was collected, it was washed and dried before being transported to
Switzerland in a carbon-neutral vehicle. There it turned into the beautiful and sturdy
material through which our craftsmen crafted this premium collection. It is available in
three colours and is unique. The designs are inspired by our classic Waterbury
construction and carry the soul of the ocean with marine texture and flakes. It is also an
ode to our beginning as the Waterbury Watch Company.

Not only is this collection special, but it is also an honour for us. We, as an organization,
promise to be mindful of our environment and always shower it with love. As we move
forward, we are committed to making our processes more sustainable, from manufacturing
and packaging to waste disposal. We are proud of the current steps and hope to do much
more in the future. Additionally, we would want to invite our customers to join us in
learning and unlearning for the benefit of the future.
