How to structure a film review

1) introduction
• Write and introduction that includes the name of the film, its year, the director, the setting, the
main characters and the main topic.
• For example: The film .... published in .... and directed by ... is a ... drama/comedy/action movie/
etc. It takes place in ... and is about ...

2) Main Part
• Paragraph 1: Describe the plot, characters and atmosphere. DO NOT tell the ending.
• Paragraph 2: Analyse the film. Write about positive and negative aspects. Examples: actors,
costumes, setting, soundtrack

3) Conclusion
• Your reaction
• Your opinion
• Your recommendation
