PROJECT SUMMARY

PROJECT BACKGROUD

This project is to create a platform or system where people can make an online
reservation and purchase bus ticket without having to queue up in a long line. Online
reservation can be made only by using electronic devices such as laptop and mobile phone
with an access to the internet on each device. This will save a lot of people’s time and energy
to buy bus ticket.

Next, in this system people can choose destination they heading to. After that, they
can choose a date available for the destination chosen. Then, they can choose number of
seats available for the date. Right after choosing the number of seats available, they can
view the type of payment methods and lastly can make the payment. The seats will only be
available until they made the final payment, and it won’t be taken by other customers unless
the payment is made successfully.

In this system, we will be using functions including selection for choosing destinations
and date available for the destination chosen. While repetition for number of seats. For the
total price, the system will calculate the final total price based on the type of seats and
number of seats chosen by the customers.

The main purpose that bus ticket reservation is to provide easy and fast data retrieval
and payment method. After they choose the type of seats, they will choose the date available
and the number of seats to reserve and make a payment with the chosen method of payments.
Traditionally the bus terminal ticket counters will be on rush and packed which wastes the time
of the common man and hence by this system we can save the time and energy of the
customers. The services offered by online bus ticket booking systems are

reservation for bus journey comfortably.
2. To provide a secure and safe journey via verified and registered bus company.
3. To provide easy and fast data retrieval and payment method.
