Republic of the Philippines Department of Education REGION V SCHOOLS DIVISION OF MASB: March 11, 2024 DIVISION MEMORANDUM No. _474. +S. 2024 ORIENTATION-WORKSHOP FOR THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP To: Assistant Schools Division Superintendents Chief Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) Chief School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) Education Program Supervisors /Division Coordinators Public Schools District Supervisors /In-Charge of the District Public Secondary School Heads All Others Concerned 1. __ In line with Republic Act (RA) No. 10533 or the Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013 and the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Program, the Schools Division Office of Masbate (SDO-Masbate) through the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) shall conduct the Orientation-Workshop for the Senior High School (SHS) teachers in the Implementation of the National Learning Camp in two batches on March 16-18, 2024 (Batch 1) and March 19-21, 2024 (Batch 2) at Bahia Vista Resort, Curvada, Cataingan, Masbate. 2. The primordial objectives of the three-day training are as follows: a. Discuss the overview of Senior High School program and curriculum; b. Re-orient Senior High School teachers on the competencies, work ethic, and values relevant to pursuing further education and/or joining the world of work (Work Immersion, a required subject) of the learners; and c. Introduce the Project-Based Learning with Research Integration 4. The participants of this activity are the Senior High School teachers with three years and below experience who will be divided into two batches. The Facilitators and Plenary Speakers are the select School Head, Education Program Supervisors, Public Schoois District Supervisor, Education Program Specialists, and NEAP Certified Learning Facilitators with the Program Management Team. 5. _ Each participant is expected to arrive at the venue before 8:00 AM on March 16, 2024, for batch one and March 19, 2024, for batch two. The first meal to be served for batches 1 and 2 is breakfast while the last is afternoon snacks. 6. Hence, all identified participants in this activity are required to attend and shall bring a laptop, flash drive, and extension wire. 7. Considering that March 16 and 17, 2024 fall on a Saturday and Sunday, all teacher-participants are entitled to a two-day vacation service credit, in congruence (ery Address: Rodeo Road, Brey. On the other hand, the non- teaching personnel are entitled to receive a Compensatory Overtime Credit (COC) for the accrued number of hours rendered on the same dates, as provided in CSC & DBM Joint Circular No. 2, s. 2004, re: Non-Monetary Remuneration for Overtime Services rendered. 8. All expenses relative to the participation in this orientation (meals, snacks, and accommodation) of participants shall be charged against the 2023 PSF for NLC. While the travel expenses and per diem of the participants shall be charged to local funds/School’s MOOE subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. 9.
