Particulars about the 3rd Day of Workshop:

I. CENTENNIAL SPORTS EVENTS


1. FREE TV RATING (GMA)
a. NCAA should ensure high live audience in venues
b. Improve live audience experience; collaborate with GMA
c. Include in feeder/beneficiary schools GMA Tour
d. Prioritize NCAA sports news in the GMA Facebook page
e. Inquire about the promise to give two TVs per member school
2. OPTION FOR TELECAST
a. Digibox for NCAA Timeslot
b. GMA to develop other platforms for revenue
3. LIVE AUDIENCE (Responsibility of the NCAA Schools)
a. Lower ticket price to increase live audience w/o extra expense to schools (same ticket
quota for each school)
b. Engage feeder schools, schools near San Juan Arena (each school to adopt a public
elementary or high school, or a barangay for live audience)
c. In-venue gimmicks for “good experience”
i. Map out activity bans for both basic education and college (i.e., exams)
coupled with early release of game schedule
ii. Shoot for a scholarship
iii. Raffle for merchandise or goods
iv. CSR – Sports Clinic in nearby schools and barangays (NCAA MOA with
LGUs) for free admission
v. Tight collaboration between NCAA schools for exchange of tickets for days
when playing school cannot come up with enough live audience
vi. Communicate to the policy board that increasing live audience will need
additional logistical support, among other policy board concerns
vii. School-based games for junior’s basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball
4. SOCIAL MEDIA ENGAGEMENT AND EXPOSURE
a. Live stream of games
b. Gather NCAA marketing people for meeting to strategize
c. Concoct awards for “Most Spirited” and “Most Socially Engaged Schools”
5. FACE OF THE LEAGUE (GMA) – with explicit attention to maintain the purity of the
student-athlete’s image as an NCAA Student-Athlete
6. RIVALRY (GMA) – explore the different possibilities in rivalries and drum them up

a. No cash out for the NCAA; 5 books each school
b. 30% of sales if school-initiated
