INTERNATIONAL GIRL GUIDES PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 2024

Organised by Girl Guides Association Malaysia

CONTEST RULES FOR INTERNATIONAL PARTICIPANTS

1) The competition is from 1st May to 30th June 2024.

2) Each participant can only submit only ONE entry.

3) Open to WAGGGS members who are registered.

4) There are 3 Options (Choose one):

a) Landscape
b) Architecture
c) Candid
Participant’s photo must have an element of girl guiding/girl scouting.

5) Age Group:
WAGGGS participants from 13 to 17 years of age are eligible to participate.

6) Participants can use DSLR, Mirrorless and mobile phones that contain photo details.

7) All entries must be authentic. Plagiarism or the use of copyright material without permission is strictly
prohibited.

8)The details MUST be included in the submit photos:

a) ISO
b) Shutter speed
c) Description of the picture

9) Registration is to be completed by the participant through Application form.

10) Entries may be disqualified if they violate the contest rules such as inappropriate content or fail to
meet the specified technical requirements.

11) The decision of the judges is final.

12) By submitting the photographs, the participants hereby automatically give the right of use to the
organizer (Girl Guides Association Malaysia / Persatuan Pandu Puteri Malaysia), to use the photographs
at any time for promotional purposes of our Girl Guiding movement or for promoting the contest.

13) Announcement of the winners will be made via the official website or through other communication
channels determined by the organizers on 30 July 2024. The first to fifth placed winners will receive a
trophy and an e-certificate.
