Dear Sir/Madam,

I am pleased to have this opportunity to introduce myself as Abhishek Chapagain, the son of
Mr. Megh Prasad Chapagain and Mrs. Bhumi Kala Dulal. I was born on December 27th,
2003 A.D. and I am a permanent resident of Mangalbare, Deumai 04, Ilam, Nepal with a
Nepalese Passport No. PA1169995. With the desire to embrace a new challenge and pursue
my Diploma in Business at Fleming College Toronto, Ontario, Canada, I am submitting
this Statement of Purpose to provide you with comprehensive and genuine information about
my academic, financial background, career aspirations, and goals.

Educational Background:

Throughout my school years, I have always been a committed and sincere student. I passed
my Secondary School Examination (SEE) from Bhadra Ghale Sikshya Sadan School with
a GPA of 3.90 in the year 2020. Continuing my education, I attended Goldengate
International Secondary School, which is renowned as one of the top high schools in Nepal.
After studying hard there, I completed my high school education in 2022, obtaining a GPA of
3.58 in the 11th grade and a GPA of 3.49 in the 12th grade. To assess my English Language
Proficiency, I joined the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) preparation
classes and undertook my IELTS exam on 25 th March 2023 where I achieved an overall score
of 6.5.

Internship:

I have been working as an intern in Administrative Department at Nepal International

Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd which is situated in the vibrant area of Putalisadak,
Kathmandu from Jan 8th, 2023 to till date. As an intern, my role involves engaging with
new clients and efficiently conveying information about consultancy services clearly and
understandably, preparing regular reports on office expenses and office budgets, and
distributing and archiving written verbal exchanges (consisting of letters, emails, and
parcels). Additionally, I am responsible for receiving payments from clients as part of my
internship duties. Working in this organization has helped me develop the ability to
effectively communicate and connect with new individuals, enabling me to learn more about
them. It has been an enriching experience to be part of this esteemed organization for all this
time.

Why Not Home Country Nepal?

Firstly, Nepal faces several challenges in its educational system, specifically in the field of
business studies. To excel in the Business program, a well-rounded curriculum is essential
that incorporates practical skills, critical thinking, and up-to-date knowledge of industry
trends. Unfortunately, Nepal's educational institutions may not provide the same level of
advanced facilities and resources as those found in more developed countries. Also, the
education system of Nepal is exercised by those people whose connections are directly with
the politicians, due to which it is manipulated to use for their benefit rather than providing
quality education for the people. This could limit the quality and relevance of the education I
would receive. After conducting thorough research on various Business colleges in Nepal,
such as Capital College and Research Centre (https://ccrc.edu.np/), Kantipur College of
Management and Information Technology (https://www.kcmit.edu.np/), Public Youth
Campus (http://pyc.edu.np/), Prime College (https://www.prime.edu.np/), and more are still
lagging to produce professionally and technically capable manpower. I have also found that
the business courses they offer heavily rely on traditional and theoretical approaches, lacking
emphasis on practical knowledge. Recognizing the limited teaching facilities and the
potential negative impact on my career, I feel apprehensive about investing my parents' hard-
earned money and my time into such programs.

Moreover, to succeed in a business program, students must be immersed in a vibrant business

ecosystem that provides hands-on experience, and interaction with industry professionals.
These limitations could restrict the practical experiences and real-world insights necessary for
a comprehensive understanding of global business dynamics. As a result, I am driven to
explore educational institutions in countries renowned for their reputable business programs,
diverse cultures, and extensive industry connections.

Why Canada Over Other Countries?

After deciding to study abroad, I began exploring the internet to gather information about
foreign countries. I carefully examined and compared the United States, Canada, the United
Kingdom, Australia, and several European countries, considering factors such as quality of
learning resources, cost of study and living, safety, climate conditions, language, and cultural
differences. After careful evaluation, I discovered that the tuition fees at Canadian colleges
are much more affordable compared to other countries. Also, Canada is the fourth-best
country in the world for education, according to the 2022 US News survey, and has
continuously been in the top five nations since 2016. Canada's cold climate is highly
appealing to me, which I enjoy and prefer to stay in. Moreover, Canada is currently
recognized as one of the world's most educated countries, as stated by the World Population
Review published in 2022. It is renowned for providing high-quality education at reasonable
tuition fees and offering courses that have international exposure and global recognition.
When a student obtains a degree from a Canadian college or university, it serves as a
distinguished symbol of reliability and exceptional quality. According to a survey of 2017,
international students in Canada shows that 95% of students are achieving success in
meeting the demands of their academic program and a finding suggests that their programs
are the right fit for their interests and abilities. In addition, Canada offers the most dependable
and authentic social security system to both its citizens and immigrants, surpassing other
developed countries worldwide. It is also regarded as the safest country in the world with low
crime rates and stable laws. According to Global Peace Index 2022, Canada is ranked 12 th
safest country in the world with G.P.I. 1.389 which is far better than any other countries
offering international education like Australia (27th with G.P.I. 1.565) and USA (129th
with G.P.I. 2.440). Additionally, Canada's emphasis on innovation, research, and creativity
aligns perfectly with my aspirations. The country values and encourages a spirit of curiosity,
exploration, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Furthermore, Canada's multicultural society and welcoming nature are additional reasons
why I have chosen it as my study destination. As an international student, I believe that
studying in a diverse environment will give me a broader perspective, enrich my learning
abilities, and help me to gain a better understanding of different cultures. After considering
all the factors, I strongly believe that my time spent studying in Canada will provide me with
the necessary knowledge, skills, and qualifications I need to succeed in my chosen field.

Why Diploma in Business?

Business has always been more than just a subject for me; it is a captivating world that has
continuously fascinated and motivated me. Since I was young, I have been enthralled by the
intricacies and inner workings of the business realm. The opportunity to pursue a diploma in
Business is an exciting prospect for me as it will allow me to deepen my understanding of the
fundamental principles and theories that drive successful organizations. I am very curious and
eager to learn about different areas of the Diploma in Business course, such as marketing,
finance, management, and entrepreneurship. These subjects are highly valuable and
important in today's rapidly changing world. This course lasts for two years and is also
divided into four semesters. I believe that a diploma in Business will provide the perfect
platform for me to develop and refine my critical thinking abilities, enabling me to analyze
complex problems and make informed decisions in the business world. Moreover, the
versatility of business is truly remarkable, transcending industries and geographic boundaries.
This course opens up numerous career opportunities for me upon my return to Nepal, such as
Marketing and advertising, Business Reporter, Financial Analyst, Management
Consultant, Actuary, and more. The dynamic and ever-evolving nature of the business field
provides endless potential for personal and professional growth. Also, the business sector in
my home country is seeing tremendous growth, and my business education will enable me to
support Nepal's commercial sectors. Hence, I have chosen to pursue a diploma in Business
program.
Why Fleming College Toronto?

After deciding on the country, I did some research on some colleges offering diplomas in
business-related courses. After exploring various educational institutions like Seneca
College, Conestoga College, Centennial College, and more in Canada, I have decided to
apply to Fleming College Toronto because of its affordable tuition fee structure, program
duration, decent student support, a popular choice among the international student's, and
modern study environment. Also, it is ranked in Canada's top 20 best colleges which
values and promotes interdisciplinary learning among its wide array of majors. The college
offers courses such as entrepreneurship, financial accounting, intermediate computer
application, and business law that will assist me to establish my own business in my home
country Nepal. I also got 4,000$ (CAD) as a scholarship, which was one of the reasons I
chose this college. As a student at Fleming College Toronto, I am excited about the chance to
learn from industry professionals, Exceptional professors, and a diverse community of
students. Moreover, I am amazed by the strong network of former students at Fleming
College Toronto. Many graduates are ready to help and guide current students. Apart from
academics, the climate of the area, student-friendly surroundings, the location of the college,
and most importantly, students from across the world with different cultures and rationales
attracted me to this outstanding college.

Future Plans and Career Goals:

Once I complete my study in Canada, my ultimate goal is to return to Nepal and use my skills
to contribute to the development of the business economy in my country. I have a strong
desire to become a valuable member of a prominent company in Nepal, like Chaudhary

government and semi-government organizations. My ambition is to bring forth my skills,
knowledge, and passion, and contribute to the overall growth and success of these esteemed
business organizations. An initial salary of NRP 80,000- 95,000 monthly could be earned
from these companies holding a senior-level post of Business Development Manager,
Business Analyst, Chartered Management Accountant, Corporate Investment Banker, Project
Manager, Human resource manager, and so forth and it will be increased as per my
performance and experience. Joining companies like these are not only an opportunity for
personal and professional growth but also a chance to be a part of a company that has played
a significant role in Nepal's economic development.

In the long run, after gaining enough experience and skills in the business sector, my long-
term goal is to start a private business organization in my home country. Building upon the
skills and insights gained during my studies in Canada, combined with the practical
experience acquired while working in companies like Chaudhary Group, Jyoti Group, Laxmi
Group, and others, I aim to establish an organization that not only thrives in the market but
also contributes positively to the community and the environment. I recognize that
entrepreneurship comes with its fair share of challenges and risks. However, I am ready to
confront these obstacles with determination, persistence, and a strategic mindset. To ensure
the long-term success of my business, I understand the importance of staying attuned to
market trends and technological advancements. Therefore, I plan to invest in ongoing
research and development, embracing innovation as a catalyst for growth and competitive
advantage. Ultimately, my aim of establishing my business organization stems from a desire
to make a lasting impact, create job opportunities for individuals, and contribute to the
economic development of Nepal.

Incentives to Return to Nepal:

The first and foremost reason to go to Canada is to get Degree in Business. After completion
of my degree, I will assure you that I will surely come back to my home country without any
second thought because my home country needs skilled and capable manpower to grow the
Nepalese Business field. Similarly, as I am a student of Business there are numerous fields
which are lacking qualified business experts, so there won't be any difficulties for me to
pursue my career in Nepal.

Besides this, my family holds a special place in my heart, and the bond we share is
invaluable. Returning to my home country Nepal will allow me to reunite with my loved
ones, provide them with emotional support, and actively participate in their lives. The feeling
of belonging and being surrounded by my family is truly irreplaceable and plays a significant
role in my overall happiness and well-being. Their love and support have been constant
pillars in my life, and the bond we share fills me with a deep sense of joy and contentment.
The opportunity to be actively involved in their lives, provide emotional support to their
retirement age, and contribute to Nepal's business landscape fills me with a strong sense of
determination and purpose. Also, being the only kid, I have to take care of all the obligations
since in our Nepalese society, it is customary for the parents to delegate all of their
responsibilities to the oldest son of the family as they age. I strongly believe that by returning
to my home country, I can create a significant and enduring impact, both personally and
professionally. Therefore, I will not hesitate to return to my home country once I complete
my studies in Canada.

Financial Proof:

My parents, being my main sponsors, have already made the payment for my first-year
tuition fees, amounting to 15,913.48 CAD. They will cover all the expenses, including my
second year's tuition fees, accommodation, and other financial needs. They have successfully
secured an education loan of NPR 4,500,000 (46,952.74 CAD) from Kumari Bank which is
only allocated to support my relevant expenses during my stay in Canada. In addition, my
family has an annual income of NPR 3,890,224 (40,531.80 CAD) and they also own
immovable property worth NPR 38,641,765 (388,985 CAD). For proof of my financial
credential, I have attached all the supporting documents including a tuition fee deposit
receipt, annual income verification, tax clearance certificates, education loan papers, affidavit
support from sponsors, and property valuation with this application. With their financial
stability, valuable assets, and healthy financial position, I am confident that I will not face
any financial burdens during my time in Canada, allowing me to fully concentrate on my
studies.

pursue my studies in Canada as it would greatly contribute to achieving my future
