Seatwork: Reaction paper regarding two videos. (Bayani Sa Puso Ko) (Mga Payo na
Dapat Tandaan Bago Magtraining sa Pulis)
In the video ‘Bayani Sa Puso Ko’ it is about how a child looks up to his father, a
policeman, despite the bad things told by other people. As a criminology student, that is
aspiring to be a police officer someday; one of the lines in the first verse really opens
the things that a policeman can hear from a civilian or citizen--“Sa isipan nila’y walang
pulis na malinis.” Living in a community, I sometimes hear those kinds of words, and it
saddens me, because they are kind of not wrong. Since that really happens in real life,
where some police are blinded by money or greediness. Overall, the video shows how
proud the child is to his father, despite the words from people. Because he/she knows
how great his/her father is; willing to serve, protect and lay his life for the citizens. And I
totally agree why the father is his/her hero, because if I also had a father like that, he
would also become my hero.

In the video “Mga Payo na Dapat Tandaan Bago Magtraining sa Pulis”, as I

watched it, it gave me lessons, how to improve as a person, and what characters I
should attain when I became a trainee or when entering the police training. One of
advice that stuck to me is “Obey first, before complaining” this already can be applied as
a student, since there will be tendencies that there will be lot of subjects, meaning lots
of activities. Really, before complaining, you must try or start about that something. To
sum up the advices given in the video, wait for your chance to become one, since we all
have our chance and timing; quitting is not a choice, make it your will to continue or
persevere; Seniority, always obey your seniors; Showcase your skills or where you are
good at, it might be useful; and last, be attentive and alert, always. Those advice shown
in the video are relevant and useful for every aspiring police, or even us students.
