The Law’s limitations to save from sins – 10:1-4

The law is a shadow of good things to come in the final sacrifice of Jesus Christ – 1,

The law cannot save the worshipper by animal sacrifices – 1, 7:19
The law cannot purify the conscience from sin by animal sacrifice – 2
The law reminds man of his sinfulness by repeated sacrifices – 3
The blood of animals cannot take away man’s sinfulness - 4
The perfect obedience of Jesus Christ – the perfect sacrifice for sins – 10:5 -18
Jesus Christ came to the world to do the will of God in bringing salvation for sin -5-7

Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the prophecy of Ps. 40:6 -8,

Jesus Christ takes away the Law covenant by His obedience to establish the new

Jesus Christ’s offering of a single sacrifice of Himself has completed forever the work
of salvation from sins – 11 -12,
Heb. 9:12 – not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He
entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption
Jesus Christ now waits until His enemies are defeated to return to the earth – 13,

Jesus Christ’s offering of a singe sacrifice of Himself saves forever those who believe
