Academic misconduct
VIT enforces that the integrity of its students’ academic studies follow an acceptable level of excellence. VIT
will adhere to its VIT Policies, Procedures and Forms where it explains the importance of student honesty in
relation to academic work. It outlines the kinds of behaviours that are “academic misconduct”, including
plagiarism.
Late submissions
In cases where there are no accepted mitigating circumstances as determined through VIT Policies,
Procedures and Forms, late submissions will lead automatically to the imposition of a penalty as per
Assessment Procedures and Guidelines (Higher Education). Penalties will be applied as soon as the deadline
is reached. Tutorials: Where a student is unable to complete a tutorial task, he/she may be given a chance to
complete the task within a calendar week (7 days) of the due date.
Assessments: Students will incur a late submission penalty of 20% of marks awarded for each day he/she
delays the assessment submission up to a total of 5 days.
Projects: Students will receive a grace period of 10 days late submission. However, they will be penalised at a
rate of 10% marks awarded per day they delay the submission.
Reasonable adjustment in assessment methods will be made to accommodate students with a documented
disability or impairment. Contact the unit teaching team for more information.
Consultation Availability
Please note that your lecturer and Learning Support Advisors are available to support, mentor and advice you
throughout the teaching period. To make a time with them, communicate with them using the email provided on

Overview
There are six modules in MBA6003 unit, comprises two sessions which includes two chapters of the
recommended textbook. Weekly quizzes are setup with maximum 5 questions (short answer question and
multiple choice).

Introduction
A series of weekly exercises where students engage in individually, to solve problems, create models and test
their models. This is followed by online quizzes to test for conceptual and practical understanding of financial
modelling, forecasting, and understanding of concepts such as probability, distribution, and regression analysis.
You need to read resources including PPT,class activity, and recommended chapters to complete the quizzes.
Task
You are required to answer the questions and must need to submit in drop box according to due date.
Submission Instructions
All submissions are to be submitted through Turnitin. Drop-boxes linked to Turnitin will be set up in Moodle.
Assessments not submitted through these drop- boxes will not be considered. Submissions must be made by
the end of each week Sunday at 23.55pm.
The Turnitin similarity score will be used in determine any plagiarism of your submitted assessment. Turnitin
will check conference websites, Journal articles, online resources, and your peer’s submissions for plagiarism.
You can see your Turnitin similarity score when you submit your assessments to the appropriate drop- box. If
your similarity score is of concern you will have a chance to change your assessment and resubmit.
However, re-submission is only allowed prior to the submission due date and time. After the due date and time
have elapsed you cannot make re-submissions. Thus, plan early and submit early to take advantage of this
feature. You can make multiple submissions, but please remember the teaching team will only grade your last
submission, and the date and time you sub- mitted will be taken from that submission.
Marking criteria/Rubric
There is no Marking rubrics for weekly quizzes to pub- lished. You will be assessed by marking guide (answer
to the questions). A marking guide will be followed to mark the quiz question. Each quiz outcomes will be
discussed in the following weeks in class and results will be published accordingly.
Assessment 2
Group Report: Financial Analytical Model
Overview
Essays test a student’s ability to assess information, formulate arguments, and critically evaluate different
alterna- tives to issues or problems.

Students will be set a task create a financial model according to a specific stakeholder specification and market
situation and present their models in a written report.
Task
Group work
1. Students are expected to organise their group work (two members in group) and keep regular (week-
ly) meetings.
2. A group is expected to appoint a group leader who will keep notes on group meetings.
3. If a person is unable to participate in a group meeting, he/she needs to notify their group immediately.
4. It is expected that each group member will make a fair and equal contribution to the group work. Free
riding in group work will not be tolerated.
5. An overall group mark (out of 30%) will be Identify the relative advantages and disadvantages awarded

where a student has provided a sub-standard contribution to group activities.

Final Exam
Overview
The Final Exam will be 2 hours in duration. The exam may include short answer questions and case study
