Requirements.]

A Scope and General Requirements

[Note: Project officer to describe the scope and general requirements of this
section of the PR, parts to be read in conjunction with this PR, the
interpretation in case of conflict, and etc.]

A1 Scope and Execution of Works

[Note: Project officer to describe the scope and execution of work for
the installation in this PR, examples of which include design,
supply, installation, testing, adjustments, commissioning and
maintenance, co-ordination with other contractors employed
by the Employer, liaison with relevant authority, statutory
requirements for the contractor to execute the works and etc.
Project officer should define the scope of the installation and
also demarcate clearly the works and the interfacing between
different type of installations.]

A2 Design Criteria

[Note: Project officer should provide detail of the design intent for the
installation in this PR. Examples of which include the criteria
for sizing the system / equipment, spare capacity, location of
equipment, separation of water carrying services from the
E&M installation, structural considerations, IEQ requirements,
green building considerations, specific design conditions and
requirements as in the respective Room Data Sheets,
Functional Briefs and etc.

Project officer are reminded to avoid using subjective

descriptions such as “latest proven technology”, “highest
efficiency” and etc. when specifying the design criteria.]

A3 Design Calculations, Computer Modeling and Simulation

methodologies and particular requirements etc. that the
Contractor have to follow and submit for the installation in this
PR. Examples of which include cooling load calculation,
heating load calculation, electric load calculation, lift traffic
analysis, illumination levels calculation, calculation for
equipment sizing and etc. This clause can be deleted if there
is no specific design calculation requirement.]

A4 Performance and Quality Requirements

[Note: Project officer should specify any particular performance and

quality requirements for the installation in this PR. ]

A5 Reliability and Maintainability

[Note: Project officer should specify any particular reliability and

maintainability requirements for the installation in this PR.
Examples of which include minimum number of equipment to
be provided, duty / standby arrangement, back up service,
access panels requirement, location of the equipment in
common accessible area, control valves to facilitate future
maintenance, dual feed for supply and etc. as appropriate. ]

B Technical Requirements

[Note: Project officer should list the systems in the installation in this
PR and provide particular technical requirements for each of
the systems. Besides providing particular technical
requirements, project officer should also provide particular
requirements for performance of the system specified such as
fire service requirements, radio or power frequency
interference, noise and vibration control, and etc. as
appropriate.

Project officer are reminded to avoid using subjective

descriptions such as “latest proven technology”, “highest
efficiency” and etc. when specifying the requirements.
