NARRATIVE REPORT ON NATIONAL DRUG EDUCATION PROGRAM (NDEP)- BARKADA KONTRA DROGA
S.Y: 2022-2023

Everyone is concerned about a drug-free society. The nation has placed the greatest emphasis on it during the past few
years. Numerous campaigns and initiatives were launched to combat the growing issues of illegal drug abuse, including every
aspect of society, including the media, religion, family, state, and schools.

The National Drug Education Program's Barkada Kontra Droga program, which is implemented at the school level, aims to
educate youth about illegal drugs and their negative effects on one's life while also giving them worthwhile activities to get
involved in to prevent them from trying illegal activities.

In compliance to DepEd Memo No. 200, s. 2016, otherwise known as Strengthening Drug Education Programs in Schools
and Pursuant to Section 43 of the Article IV of the RA 9165, particularly stated that all divisions are instructed to strengthen the
implementation of NDEP by establishing BARKADA KONTRA DROGA CHAPTERS in schools. To support this program and to
continue to intensify the campaigns on Anti-Drug Abuse, and to strengthen the Peer-to-Peer Awareness Program, Malanta
Elementary School conducted the orientation and promote awareness about using illegal drugs last November 15, 2022.
