BMS/BAF/ BBI Department

1) BMS/BAF/ BBI Department conducted an orientation program on 29 August for

FYBMS/FYBAF/FYBBI students at 10.00 AM as a part of academic activity. During
orientation program all the faculty members deliberated a word of advice to the newly
admitted students on Rules and regulations, Importance of internal session test,
Responsibility towards the society as an educated person.

2) “FRESHER’S PARTY” was organised on 30th of AUGUST 2022 It is the day where
seniors and juniors finally bond and unite to celebrate being part of the college. Students
were welcomed with the so much of enthusiasm which was organized by SY students.
The fresher’s day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and
happiness.

3) A guest lecture was organized by BMS/BAF/BBI department on 23 RD August 2022 at 10

am related to Creating awareness on Harassment in association with an NGO named
“ACTIONAID” which is working for social and ecological justice in India since 1972.

4) Teachers day was celebrated on 6th September, 2022 in Laxman Devram Sonawane
College by BMS department marking the celebration of birth of Dr Sarvepalli
Radhakrishnan who was an amazing teacher of his time.. Small function was organised
by students on this occasion for teachers. The function started with small speech of
students where they spoke about the role of teachers in building nation.

5) A career Guidance seminar was conducted by Prof Vilas Tayde of Swayam siddhi
college on 11THfebruary at 9 am. Students were guided about the different career options
after TY. There was a discussion on cracking entrance examination for MBA program as
well as the skills required for clearing interviews.

6) A seminar was organized by BMS/BAF/BBI Department in association with “consumer

guidance society of India” on the topic “Consumer awareness and financial literacy” on
7TH September,2022 at 10 am.
7) The program was divided in 2 sessions where the first session was presided by MR. T.R.
Pandey who is a project manager in CGSI and the Second session was taken by Ms.
Manya Hardwani, who is a certified financial planner in CGSI.

8) A seminar was organized by BMS/BAF/BBI Department in association with “ICFAI

Business School (IBS)” under student knowledge sharing program on the topic “New
career opportunities in Finance, HR, Marketing, Operations” on 12TH
September,2022 at 9.30 am. The speaker of the day was prof Chitvan Mehrotra who
motivated marketing students to go for digital marketing courses which could help them
to build up career in digital era and focused students to go for higher education when they
can apply for various entrance examinations and how they can proceed with education
loan.

9) A seminar on Digital marketing was conducted on 24 th January 2023 at 9.30 am by

BMS/BAF/BBI Dept in association with Quastech ltd which is a software solution
company and is involved in upgrading young talents on current topics as a part of CSR
and bridging the gap between education & industry as it is observed that students, find it
difficult to get placed in a good company because they are not clear about what to prepare
for interview and are not aware about the Recent requirement and developments in
corporate.

10) Seminar was organized by BMS/BAF/BBI Dept in association to Alumni association Of

Laxman DevramSonawane College on 25th February 2022 at 8.00 am on the topic
“EFFECTIVE WAYS ON STUDYING AND PREPARING FOR JOB INTERVIEW
PROCESS”.Seminar was conducted by Mr. Gaurav Phanse, our alumni who discussed
about the importance for preparing for examination and the right techniques to imbibe
education for career growth and bring self-development.

11) A guest lecture was organized by BMS/BAF/BBI Dept in association to Alumni

association Of Laxman DevramSonawane College on 24 th February 2022 at 8.30 am.
Speaker of the day was Ms. Bhavna Dhokle, our alumni. She discussed with students the
market, constraints, how research can be conducted for starting a business. What were the
challenges she faced and how she overcame them. How capital can be arranged for
business.
