Duties and Responsibilities Handled as a QC Lead

• Assign and coordinate material inspection activities in accordance to the
specifications set out in purchase orders, datasheets, drawings and client
specifications, Inspection & Test plan.
• Coordinate third party vendor inspection visits, review and distribution of
inspection reports.
• Reviewing stage wise inspection reports of fabrication and erection.

• Inspection Co-ordination with client inspectors.
• Ensuring all the welding consumables used are in good condition and low
hydrogen electrode are baked and held properly before use & monitoring of
welding consumables issue & return log sheet.
• Assist QA/QC manager in conducting internal quality audits.
• Ensure that Non Conformance Reports (NCR) are raised once the activities
deviated from the contract specifications.
• Preparation & review of Hydro Test packages.
• Test package Co-ordination with Client.
• Coordinating line walk and punch list preparation.

• QC inspection and monitoring the quality for every stage of work in progress which
comply with Clients Specification.
• Submitting daily reports to QC Manager and verify QC Inspection reports and
testing.
• Checking all the documents before submitting for inspection like, approved
material submittal copy, approved and latest revision of drawings, etc.
• Preparation and submission of final documents of the project.
• Material receiving inspection of components such as pipes, fittings, plates, flanges,
valves, stud & bolt.
• Follow up of new shipment arrival, verifying the batch certificates, delivery against
purchase order and allocating them at proper locations in the material warehouse
• The verification of documentation shall be carried out, which includes the mill test
report (MTR) against the heat number and batch number legibly stamped or printed
on the components.
• Verification of the material specification in accordance with the applicable
specification or design drawings requirement (i.e, rating, schedule, connection type
etc.).
• Ensuring that the works are according to latest drawing, specification and clients

 Engineering standard.
• Ensure all safety measures are taken into consideration through compliance to all
Applicable Standards & Codes in Practice, adherence to governing codes and
adherence to client specification and maintained of necessary documents.
• Checking the drawing and giving instruction to the workers.
• Conduct routing inspection of completed work to endure conformity with the
standards, specification, plans and schedule.
