Achievements Pakistan and manages the Generation, Transmission and Distribution of electricity in Karachi,

At present, I am leading Construction Management of +3500 locations. These comprises of various


office Power Plants, Transmission structures, Grid-stations Office buildings, pipelines laying,
warehouse and Solar electric system installation. I am leading team of 32 diversified professionals
directly / indirectly reporting while +1200 workers are associated through 27 main contractors.
My job role is as under:

 Managing, planning, organizing and executing civil construction projects that meet
approved cost, quality, scope, and time targets to enable the larger goals of the business
plan to be achieved.
 Plan, schedule and control project implementation for costs, timeline, quality and
adherence to HES requirements.
 Responsible for forming the Project Management Team (PMT) from concerned
departments and lead the PMO.
 Prepare a FEED package for preparing the Cost Estimate. Prepare work package for the
required capital projects funding.
 Monitor cost of project & implement program for cost reduction.
 Regularly review and improve design layouts plans to ensure quality, minimize wastage,
improve construction time and increase costs savings.
 Participate in continuous improvement and value engineering exercise to reduce CAPEX
and OPEX.
 Ensures that Safe Work Practices are understood and implemented, by both internal and
external construction providers, as appropriate. Provides assistance to disseminate HESQ
awareness and ensures compliance of HESQ policy.
 Implement ESG initiative of 5R and 5S across the network.
 To prepare annual construction budget of the company for board approval.
 To monitor and technical scrutiny of Project procurements.
 ISO 9001:2008 certification for entire department as MR.

Major Projects: In my 20 years association with industry, some projects are:

Construction Works
 Project Manager for construction of 560MW power plant – BQPS II.
 Civil works for installation of 2 x 110 MW generators at KPC power plant.
 Construction of state of the art NOC for KE main SCADA facility Head office.
 Construction of Tier 2 Data center comprises of 38 racks.
 Led construction of K-Electric Head Offices having (24000 sft) as Project Manager. It includes
292KW solar system installation. This project is considered as sign of cultural transformation
and trend setter for the company.
 Successfully manage revamping of Distribution office (45000 sft). Project features comprises
of establishment of Call Centre for 175 desks with IVR.
 Construction of KE’s first LEED certified Gridstation at Gulshan-e-Mayamar.
 Project Manager for Rehabilitation of abandon KESC Training Centre (Gr.+3, 26000 sft) with
contemporary features e.g 200 seats Pre-fab auditorium, Computer labs, Dummy Electric
Network, Class rooms and laboratories, Canteens, Workshops, car parking, Fire fighting
system & Air-conditioning etc. as Project Leader.
 Establishment of KE Mega center having contemporary architecture and modern design.
220KW solar system installed to make it a Zero Building.
 Dredging of Lagoons and Intake channel at KTPS and BQPS II on periodic basis.
 Construction of Steel structures for Mechanical workshop, Filter house and temperature
controlled ware house for inventory management.
 Major maintenance of Pipri, KCR, Maripur “220KV GIS Grid-station.
 Laying of 18” dia gas pipeline at KPC Power plant.

 Construction of PLDPs, Monopole & transmission towers foundation for 132 & 220 KV
transmission lines.
