Day 1

 1st day quiz (pre-course assessment)

 Introduction to the course
 Well completion types and major
 Introduction to Perforations
 Explosives History and Shaped Charge Technology
 Shaped Charge Design & Types of charges & Types of guns
 Phasing, shot density, penetration, hole size
 Perforations Hardware Components
 Perforations Conveyance methods in Cased Hole
 Wireline perforating
 Tractors tools & Perf and plug techniques in MS fracturing using Wireline.
 TCP component.
 Coild tubing perforation.
 API Standards RP19B.

During the first day, attendants will be submitted to a quiz to identify strengths and topics to be
developed, enabling the instructor to optimize the course approach and participants will discuss the
equipment used to perforate.

 Propellants & Stim gun & Csg gun
 Mechanical stress analysis during high pressure perforation.
 Perforating for Production Optimization.
Day 3
 Geomechanics for Perforating.
 Perforating weak sands (for sand control) & and for sand prevention).
 Oriented perforations.
 Advanced other perforation techniques (radial drilling, fishbones, hydra jetting, and tele perf)

Day 4

 Combining perforation with DST in initial completion (component, job design, critical issues)
 Reviewing practical execution perforation job using 3 methods (WL, TCP, and CT)

Day 5

 Tendering process & aspects considered in the commercial evaluation & critical points.
 Reviewing 10 case studies in terms of perforation optimization either for deployment methods
or charge selection.
 Last day quiz (training evaluation).
