SYNOPSIS

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
1.1 SAMPLING DESIGN
Sample is the small group taken under consideration from the total group. This
small group represents the 40 customers. Sample size of customer list was taken from Win
Nissan Car Show Room, Nagercoil.
RESEARCH
Research is an art of scientific investigation though search for new facts in any
branch of knowledge. It is a moment from known to unknown.
i. Research always starts with a question or a problem.
ii. Its purpose is to find answers to questions through the application of the
scientific method.
iii. It is a systematic and intensive study directed towards a more complete
knowledge of the subject studied.
1.2 RESEARCH DESIGN
Research design could be defined as a blue print specifying every state of action
in course of research. Such a design would indicate whether the course of action planes
minimize the use of resource and maximize the outcome.
1.3 RESEARCH INSTRUMENT
The research instrument used in this study is a structured questionnaire.
Structured questionnaires are those questionnaires in which there are predictor mined
questions relating to the aspects for which researcher collect data.
OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
1. To study the level of customer satisfaction towards Win Nissan cars.
2. To analyse the factors influencing customer satisfaction.
3. To identify the various expectations of customers towards Win Nissan cars.
4. To study the profile of the customer satisfaction.
1.5 DATA COLLECTION
The descriptive study is based on survey method. Collection of data is done in two
form,
Primary data and Secondary data
PRIMARY DATA
The data that is being collected for the first time or to particularly fulfil the
objectives of the project is known as primary data.
The types of data were,
i. The price of the product in the market
ii. The types of the car available in the market
iii. Responses of customers
The above primary data were collected through responses of customer was
conducted through questionnaires prepared for them.
SECONDARY DATA
Secondary data is a type of data, which is already assembled and need not to be
collected from outside. These types of data were
i. Industry Profile
ii. Company Profile
iii. Product Profile
The above said data were collected through Internet and company’s financial
report.
1.6 SAMPLING TECHNIQUE
A sampling technique is the name or other identification of the specific process by
which the entities of the sample have been selected.
There are four basic types of probability sampling: simple random sampling.
Systematic sampling, stratified sampling, and cluster sampling. The Study population for the
research was high so that sampling method was employed for data collection for the purpose
of collecting data, convenience sampling method was used.
What is convenience sampling?
Convenience sampling is defined as a method adopted by researchers where they
collect market research data from a conveniently available pool of respondents. It is the most
commonly used sampling technique as it’s incredibly prompt, uncomplicated, and
economical. In many cases, members are readily approachable to be a part of the sample.
1.7 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
It is very difficult to satisfy every customers because the customer’s expectations
differ from customer to customer. So satisfying the customer in a company is the biggest task
which the company has to face. For that the company has to understand the customer’s
requires. To understand the customer’s requirement the company has to conduct the survey.
So the project helps the company to know the requirements of the customers.
1.8 NEED OF THE STUDY
To understand the actual performance of the company in customer satisfaction. This
study helps to know the customer needs and which they expect. This study tries to know the
service quality which is provided by the company.
1.9 SCOPE OF THE STUDY
The study helps the company to improve the service quality which is existing. The
result of the study is useful for taking decisions on the future needs of the customers.
1.10 AREA OF THE STUDY
Area, the researcher has chosen for the study of customer satisfaction in Win
Nissan in Kanyakumari District. This is mainly because, many car dealers are in this district.
So all the dealers give importants to customer satisfaction. So studying the customer
satisfaction in Kanyakumari that would empower the dealers as well as the researcher about
the study.
1.11 LIMITATIONS OF THE STUDY

1. The time limit to complete the project was less.


2. There is a lot of difference between authors of same subject.
3. All data collected is based on books, internet and customers.
4. Some of the customer's didn't like to share the information.
5. The information which is collected from the company that was not adequate.
