Empower the Youth’s Future: Sponsor a Child, Transform a Life

Introduction:
Birati Globe Vision Society (BGVS) is a Non-Profit Organization mainly working on Education,
Livelihood and Employment in five districts of West Bengal, India. BGVS believes in a self-
sustainable model to run every project. Its main objective is to uplift the socio-economic condition
of the people in rural areas of West Bengal.

Our Vision:
To provide quality education to the underprivileged section of the society through use of
technology and innovative learning models.

Our Mission:
 To provide primary and secondary school education to 5000 underprivileged children in
West Bengal in next five years.
 To lay special focus on sports and other skill development activities.
 To improve economic conditions of parents through capacity building programs.
 To guide school pass outs of BGVS get higher education or employment.

What we have done so far:

BGVS started its journey in 2009 with job-oriented training programs. Five years later in 2014 it
introduced its first free English medium school at Durganagar slum area in Birati region in West
Bengal. Currently here are 130 students.
In 2019 BGVS started its second school i.e. MSVR Mission Academy, Gangatikuri, at East
Bardhhaman. Current strength of the student here are 105. The fees contributed by the children of
this school not only cover the salaries of both teaching and non-teaching staff but also meet all
other expenses for the students. This self-sustaining model ensures that BGVS don’t have to
struggle to secure additional funds for this school of Gangatikuri. Only this school operates as a
sustainable institution under BGVS.
Later on 2021 BGVS started its third school i.e. MSVR Mission Academy in Dwarir Jangal,
Sandeshkhali, Sundarban. Currently here are 267 students (102 English medium and 165 in
Bengali medium). Most of the students in this school are from the Scheduled Tribe community.
Along with this, BGVS trains the parents of the students to develop their skills and to properly
utilize their resources, so that they can uplift their economic conditions.
Achievements of our students:
For the past fifteen years, BGVS has been dedicated to revolutionizing education, ensuring every
child’s holistic development through advanced, technology-driven learning. Our classrooms are
equipped with Smart Boards, and we offer a diverse range of extra-curricular activities, including
Abacus, Karate, Yoga, Meditation, Drawing, and Handcrafts.
We are delighted to share the outstanding achievements of our students from MSVR Mission
Academy in Dwarir Jungle and Knowledge Prabhat. Last year, they participated in the SOF
Olympiad exam, and their performance was nothing short of extraordinary. Two brilliant Class 1
students from MSVR Mission Academy achieved worldwide ranks in the Math Olympiad, earning
prestigious Gold Medals, while another talented student proudly received a Bronze Medal.
Furthermore, four outstanding students shone at the school level, each securing a coveted Gold
Medal. These accomplishments fill us with immense pride and joy.
In October 2023, students from MSVR Mission Academy in Dwarir Jangal made us immensely
proud by participating in the State Karate Championship. At the basic level, ten of our talented
students brought home Gold Medals. We are confident that these young achievers will continue to
shine in future Olympiads and Karate competitions.

Coming from underprivileged backgrounds, they have been able to reach their full potential under
the expert guidance of our dedicated teachers. Their ability to compete and excel on a global stage
is a testament to their hard work and our commitment to providing quality education. This
remarkable achievement is a significant milestone for us, and we are thrilled to witness their
continued success.
Our Appeal:

Birati Globe Vision Society has taken up the responsibility of providing quality education to 502
underprivileged children. They study in three schools. One is at the Durganagar slum area of Birati,
Kolkata. One is in the Sundarbans where Morning Section is for Bengali medium education and
Day Section is allotted for English medium education and A third School is in Gangatikuri village
near the town of Katwa. Among them are 105 students from MSVR Mission Academy in
Gangatikuri, a sustainable school under BGVS. As mentioned earlier, when combined with the
students from our other two schools, Knowledge Prabhat and MSVR Mission Academy in Dwarir
Jangal, the total number of students reaches 397.

 Problem from the field:

The primary issue in these areas is the lack of opportunities for children to receive proper
guidance in their education and knowledge pursuit. Due to their parents' lack of skills and
training in any trade, many families are forced to migrate to other states, where they often
end up working as laborers. This mass migration is leading to a significant decrease in the
youth population in these rural areas, raising concerns about the future welfare of these
children, who may ultimately be forced into labor.

 Our Priority to Illuminating Minds, Enriching Lives:

Our top priority is to provide these children with access to high-quality education and
nutritious breakfasts to prevent malnutrition. Through these efforts, we aim to create a
nurturing environment that enables them to thrive and build a better future for themselves
and their communities.

BGVS stands as a beacon of excellence in education, where every detail is meticulously

crafted to nurture young minds. Our classrooms are not just rooms; they are vibrant spaces
pulsating with the energy of eager learners, adorned with an abundance of educational
resources that ignite curiosity and fuel the thirst for knowledge. But our commitment goes
beyond textbooks. We believe in a holistic approach to education, where extracurricular
activities are as important as academics. From sports to arts and crafts, our schools are
vibrant hubs of creativity and talent, shaping well-rounded individuals.

At the heart of it all are our dedicated teachers, the pillars of our institution. They are not
just educators; they are mentors, guides, and role models, constantly striving to deliver the
best education possible. Despite financial challenges, they remain unwavering in their
commitment to providing quality education.

Ensuring a child's education is not just about books and classrooms; it's about providing
them with the tools and support they need to thrive. For just Rupees 13,500 in a year, you
can provide a student with school bags, uniforms, books, and a nutritious breakfast. Your
contribution will not only help them succeed in school but also set them on a path to a
brighter future.
 Appeal for Support:

We have successfully secured educational sponsorships for 60 children, each valued at Rs.
13,500. However, out of our total of 397 students, 337 are still in need of sponsorship.
As we believe in empowering of Guardians for Self-Sufficiency, through our diverse
training programs, we've enabled 104 guardians of MSVR Mission Academy in Dwarir
Jangal to contribute 300 rupees per month towards their children's education and towards
the school's development, showcasing their commitment to their children's future and the
school's growth.
While this support has enabled us to meet the basic needs of these 60 children, such as
providing quality teachers and daily breakfast, it has also presented challenges. The
financial strain of sponsoring these 60 students has made it difficult to manage expenses
for the remaining 337 students. This has resulted in a teaching gap as teachers are leaving
mid-session. We are seeking further support to ensure that all our students receive the
education and care they deserve.
If we secure sponsorship for all the children, the 104 guardians currently contributing
towards their children's education won't need to provide funds. Our aim is to make both
school same as MSVR Mission Academy, Gangatikri sustainable models that can be
replicated elsewhere.
Moreover, we intend to provide training in various handicrafts to interested individuals,
using their contributions to create employment opportunities. This will help every family
become self-sufficient and envision a better future.

Financial Breakage
Estimated amount to run the schools 13500*397= 5,359,500 Rupees
So far raised amount 13500*60= 810,000 Rupees
Monthly Salary raised from Guardian 300*104= 31200 rupees per month & 374,400 rupees Annually
Deficit 4,175,100 Rupees

Join Us in Saving Our Village Youth: We humbly request your support in sponsoring a child for
Rs. 13,500 annually. Your contribution will cover school books, stationery, uniforms, bags, and
evening tuition, providing these children with the guidance and nutrition they deserve. Together,
we can make a difference in their lives and the future of our community.

In Conclusion: BGVS - Illuminating Minds, Empowering Futures

BGVS stands as a beacon of hope and transformation, showcasing the incredible impact of
education and community resilience. By nurturing young minds and fostering economic stability,
we have witnessed profound changes in the lives of our students and their families. As we press
on with our mission, our commitment remains unwavering - to forge a brighter tomorrow for all.
Guided by the belief that education is the cornerstone of opportunity and prosperity, we continue
to inspire, uplift, and empower. Together, let us pave the way for a future filled with promise and
possibility.
