1.0 INTRODUCTION

1.1 SCOPE
This document constitutes a high level description of the Safety Management Systems
of BP and DSND Subsea Ltd, which are in operation on any one site whilst the two
companys’ are working in a contractual relationship.

1.2 OBJECTIVES
The objective of this report is to compare the documented Safety Management Systems
(SMS) of BP Amoco and DSND Subsea Ltd, and where recognised interface exists to,
identify the relevant BP Amoco and DSND Subsea Ltd documentation.

2.0 SMS INTERFACE

This exercise has been conducted by using the template provided by BP Amoco.

Where relevant, DSND Subsea Ltd documentation is listed opposite that of BP Amoco.

Given the space available, a certain amount of selection had to be exercised in the
process. Should any entry require explanations or discussions, the undersigned will be
happy to provide further information as the case may be.
