National Reading Week 2024

National Reading Day 2024 in India is celebrated on June 19 to honour the legacy of Mr. Puthuvayil

Narayana Panicker, often referred to as the ‘Father of India’s Library Movement’. The day is aimed at
commemorating the efforts of PN Panicker in changing society through the use of literary skills in India.
He played a crucial role in establishing the first public library in Kerala in 1945 and later led the library
movement in the region.
Let’s celebrate the joy of reading!
Theme for the ‘National Reading Week 2024’ is ‘Reading is key to the knowledge’
Fostering a love for literature and exploration in the library can have a lasting impact on a student's
learning journey. Harvest International School, Kodathi campus is celebrating ‘National Reading
Week’ this month. Several activities and events have been planned for the students of different age
groups on this occasion starting from 18th June 2024.
Note: Students have to bring their personal pens/pencils, papers and colouring objects as instructed by the
librarians for the library activities. Students of Grade 12 will bring their personal books for the activity
