(Sept 2023). Admin is huge because of MiSST. Does MiSST prepare for GCSE? Also has Level 3 in 6th. HoD is new to Level 3 and Eduqas GCSE. HoD isn't great at admin. HoD Drama is an AP - very experienced. Visit scheduled for 10/1
Fortnightly provision in music which is holding
the department back. Weak delivery of not very much. Lost lots of practice rooms to offices. Studio off the classrrom which isn't being well used. School production is massive and there is a strong collaborative feel within the faculty. SoWs aren't great. Headteacher is very passionate about pupil experience and choirs. Extracurricular does not connect to classroom. HoD is on his own - 5th year at the school. He's leaving at the end of term. What is the succession plan? Eduqas PA. What is the situation here? Loads of Romany kids - low aspirations, attendence issues, behaviour. However, lots of these kids love music. Some grungy/rocky kids. Head is new and there is a big turn over of Heads. Massive classroom that used to be an art room. No computers - computer room is far away. Part of a big faculty, but faculty is not collaborating. Visit scheduled for 12/1 Doing Level 2 BTEC PA. Reluctant to move to Eduqas.
