Pattern 1. 목적격 관계대명사 Pattern 2. so ~ that 구문

(대)명사를 선행사라고 하며, 관계대명사가 이끄는 절 「so + 형용사[부사] + that + 주어 + can’t[couldn’
1. He was the person (who/whom/that) Kenneth
respected the most in the world. 1. He was so happy that he jumped for joy.
선행사 the person이 사람이고, 이어지는 절에서 「so+형용사+that절」은 ‘너무 ~해서 …

2. He wandered off at night so often that someone

had to keep an eye on him.
2. There were many things (that/which) Kenneth
had to do.
Kenneth
so ~ that …
that[which] Kenneth had to do는 선행사 many things 의 구문으로 so 다음에는 원인이, that 다음에는 결과에
that 또는 which가 쓰인다.

3. He is the person (who/whom/that) I have been

waiting for.
대명사여야 하므로 who, whom, that이 쓰일 수 있다.
