today's lesson, I've prepared a picture
for you to observe. Please take a few
moments to carefully examine the
image and jot down any important
details you notice. This will give us a
good starting point for our discussion”.

explore a new topic: Components of
Health-Related Fitness

For us to be guided for today’s lesson,

1. Identify the components of
health-related fitness.
2. Recognize the importance of
incorporating each component
into their regular physical
activity routine.
3. Create a personalized fitness
plan that incorporates all
components of health-related
fitness for optimal results.

CONCEPT/S
Health-Related Components

Body Composition- The relative

percentage of muscle, fat, bone, and
other tissues that comprise the body.
A fit person has a relatively low, but
not too low, percentage of body fat
(body fatness).

Cardiovascular Fitness- The ability

of the heart, blood vessels, blood, and
respiratory system to supply fuel and
oxygen to the muscles and the ability
of the muscles to utilize fuel to allow
sustained exercise. A fit person can
persist in physical activity for
relatively long periods without undue
stress.

Flexibility- The range of motion

available in a joint. It is affected by
muscle length, joint structure, and
other factors. A fit person can move
the body joints through a full range of
motion in work and in play.

Muscular Endurance- The ability of

the muscles to repeatedly exert
themselves. A fit person can repeat
movements for a long period without
undue fatigue.

Strength- The ability of the muscles

to exert an external force or to lift a
heavy weight. A fit person can do
work or play that involves exerting
force, such as lifting or controlling
one's own body weight.
A. Activity Proper "Before we start with our lesson proper,
We will be having first our activity for
groupings I want all of you to stand and

Group 2: Create a skit or role-

play demonstrating the benefits
of their assigned component in a
physical activity routine.
B. ANALYSIS What were the main components of (expected answer)
health-related fitness highlighted in We highlighted cardiovascular
your poster? fitness, muscular endurance,
flexibility, and strength as the
main components of health-
related fitness in our poster.

Can you explain how each component (expected answer)

contributes to overall fitness? Cardiovascular fitness helps
improve the efficiency of the
heart, lungs, and blood vessels,
allowing for better oxygen
delivery to muscles during
physical activity. Muscular
endurance enables us to perform
repetitive movements over an
extended period without getting
tired, contributing to stamina and
endurance. Flexibility enhances
joint mobility and reduces the
risk of injuries by allowing for a
full range of motion, while
strength provides the ability to
exert force and perform daily

represent each component visually? If
so, how did you overcome this (expected answer)
challenge? Yes, it was a bit challenging to
represent each component
visually, especially since they are
abstract concepts. To overcome
this challenge, we used symbols
and illustrations to depict

choreographing the physical
activity sequences to accurately
portray cardiovascular exercises.
To overcome this, we researched

(The group can present their plan
through a written report, infographic, Instructions:

and set SMART objectives.
2) Select exercises and activities
that target each component of
