Injury – an instances of being injured

or damage to person’s feelings.

Common sport injuries include:

Strains are injuries to a muscle or
tendon, and are often caused by
overuse, force, or stretching. The
ankle is the most commonly strained
joint.
Sprains are to ligaments what strains
are to muscles. Ligaments are the
tissues that connect bone to bone.
When these ligaments turn in a wrong
way, they can pull or tear.
Fracture is a partial or complete
break in the bone. There are many
different types of fractures. Bone
fractures are often caused by falls,
trauma, or as a result of a direct blow
or kick to the body. Overuse or
repetitive motions can cause stress
fractures.
Dislocation is an injury in which the
ends of your bones are forced from
their normal positions. The cause is
usually trauma resulting from a fall,
an auto accident, or a collision during
contact or high-speed sports.
Concussion is a type of traumatic
brain injury—or TBI—caused by a
bump, blow, or jolt to the head or by a
hit to the body that causes the head
and brain to move rapidly back and
forth.
