Essay 4: Many governments think that economic progress is their most important goal.

Some
people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.
Discuss both these views and give your opinion.
Nowadays, the head of many countries places utmost emphasis on fiscal growth. On the
contrary, a portion of people agree that alternative developments are of paramount
importance. From my point of view, I concur that both sides have their valid reasons for their
beliefs.
On the one hand, a strong and thriving economy is one of the most vital component of a
healthy nation. To start with, monetary values is needed to do anything in the modern world.
Everything resolves around currency, from importing and exporting to paying salaries to
workers. Thus, obtaining as much money as possible is essential for the nation to function
properly. Additionally, having solid economic growth can give the nation higher social status
internationally. Most nations compete with each other to outgrow each other fiscally to gather
as much prestige to the country’s name as possible. Therefore, focusing on building the
economy is incredibly important.
On the other hand, without development on other fields, the nation will surely collapse. There
are many things other than money that uphold the system. These are the things that ensure the
citizens are healthy, happy and literate. To commence, healthcare is very vital. A good
healthcare system eradicates illnesses and increases the people’ longevity. In addition,
entertainment is also important. Workers are often exhausted after a laborious day ergo they
must be kept happy to keep the productivity going. Last but not least, education plays a major
role. The people must have a high intelligence to have the best work rate and take in
sophisticated sciences, such as space travel and artificial intelligence.
In conclusion, progression in the economy and in other fields are of equal importance in the
development of a country. Through my meticulous analysis, it is my firm conviction that growth
in any given areas should not be neglected lest progress be hindered.
