Main Job Responsibilities as Geotechnical Engineer

As a Geotechnical Engineer, I am responsible for exploring and surveying the

construction site thoroughly. I will also be responsible for performing various
laboratory tests on soil, rock, and groundwater samples.
I shall be delegating tasks to the technical team for on-site inspections. I shall be
planning and designing projects such as building, bridges, canals, and other structures.
I shall possess extraordinary knowledge of various climatic conditions and their
impact on the projects.

 Build and maintain relationships with clients and other professionals involved
in the site, throughout each project
 maintain safety standards on site
 be mindful of cost implications when you make recommendations
 study geological maps and aerial photographs from a
range of sources and from different time periods
 Lead and oversee comprehensive site exploration activities, including
topographical surveys, geologic mapping, and geotechnical drilling and
sampling, ensuring the collection of accurate and relevant data for project
planning and design.
 examine construction plans to see how feasible they are based on your
