It is divided into two main types:
primary and secondary memory.
Primary memory includes RAM
(Random Access Memory) and
ROM (Read-Only Memory).
RAM is volatile, meaning it
temporarily holds data for active
processes and loses its contents
when the computer is turned off.
ROM, on the other hand, is non-
volatile and permanently stores
essential instructions for booting
the system.
