Assumption
Water from a lake is pumped to the higher-elevation hotel using a water pump. The hotel
with 15 levels will have water pumped by the pump. There are 150 rooms in the hotel overall.
Two customers per room are the assumptions that have been made in this case. Each room
uses a total of 150 litres each day. The free surface of both reservoir are exposed to the
atmospheric pressure. Therefore, P,lake and P,tank are equal assuming V1 = V2 = 0.. The
pipes applied in this system have a diameter of 0.6 metres while its length is 200 metres.
Minor loss coefficients for the entrance, exit, and two elbows are 0.8, 1.05 and 1.1
respectively. Assuming the friction factor is constant which is 0.2.
