PROJECT TITLE: REDESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF PHILIPPINE CHRISTIAN

UNIVERSITY, DASMARINAS WEBSITE.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The present undertaking tried to inform, analyze, redesign, develop and implement a
user and mobile friendly school website for Philippine Christian University
Dasmarinas. Specifically, the study sought answers to the following questions:

1.Why is it necessary to redesign the website for Philippine Christian University

Dasmarinas?
2.What are the requirements needed in the development and implementation of the
proposed website?
3.What is the importance of making a website for Philippine Christian University
Dasmarinas in relation with the teachers, parents and students?
4.How effective is the proposed website in terms of its functionality?

PROPOSED SOLUTION

The study aims to analyze, to redesign, to develop, to test, and to implement with an
effective and useful school website, specifically this is intended to:

1.The students and prospective students are updated on what may happen in their
school.
2.Let the visitors be able to know some information about the school.
3.The parents can also be updated even without visiting the school premises.
5. Students and prospective students may no longer depend on the bulletin board
just to know the events and announcements of the school and;
6.To improve the speed and load time of the current website.

EXPECTED BENEFITS

This study is important because the proposed redesign will help Philippine Christian
University Dasmarinas to make work easier, more accurate, organize and secure.
To the students: With the features promised in the new wbsite, students will be
more eager to use the site as it will now load faster and have more useful content
and information. Stduents can also enroll, take assignments or quizes, read
announcements and do many more things. Prospective studens will be able to get
information about every course and be able to apply and follow their application
online.

To the parents: It is useful for the parents so that they can track their children’s
activities without the hassle of traveling just to visit the school.

To the school, faculty and staff: With a new more modernized website, the school
benefits from promoting itself on the internet always. Members of faculty can freely
refer anyone to the site and be rest assured they’ll get the information they are
looking for. They may also be able to conduct classes, give out assignments, quizzes,
exams and other useful updates.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT

We’ve formulated the scope of this project to identify the boundaries of this study.
The website, which is going to be the output of this study, is simply going to
transition Philippine Christian University Dasmarinas’method of promoting,
informing and handling data to a computerized one such as, allowing the students,
parents and visitors to view some information of the institution, recording all the
necessary information with regard from the students, has an e learning capability,
has information about every department and course in the school. The study also
aims to give Philippine Christian University Dasmarinas website a new, more modern
look that encourages user interaction.
