 The five stages framework employed in the Critical Thinking Model is a systematic
way of handling problems and making choices. Here's a breakdown of the model:

identification of what needs to be dealt with is described.
2. Gather information: Identify and ascertain the problem upon which research shall be based,
and get relevant information and data that will help in understanding the issue in depth.
3. Formulate hypotheses or possible solutions: From that information, come up with the
possible answers or theories to find a solution for the problem.
4. Evaluate the evidence: Evaluate the accuracy and legitimacy of the information acquired and
critically assess the short-comings in the contrast to the current evidence available.
5. Reach a conclusion or decision: After reviewing the information, synthetize your informed
suggestion or resolution, which reflects the result of the previous evaluations.

 Now, let's consider two examples of how the Five Step Model can be applied in an
educational context:

Identify the problem: Students pay attention to the implication of climate change on a given
ecosystem and consider several factors affecting it.
Gather information: They collect data from different kinds of stuff: you could say scientific
journals, government reports, and field studies.
Formulate hypotheses: These authors give their alternative hypotheses on how climate change
damages biodiversity, ecosystem function, and species distribution.
Evaluate the evidence: Scholars examine the information, level quality points of various
sources, and choose those ones as the most trustworthy to accept them as their primary
explanations of the phenomenon under study.
Reach a conclusion: On the basis of their work, students are able to deduce some of the
maximum impacts of climate change into the chosen site and demonstrate the findings.

or disagreement with globalization and its effects on different cultures and businesses.
Evaluate the evidence: In terms of the debate they put into detailed consideration the reliability
of sources and the data as evidence to the debate.
Reach a conclusion: In accordance with the debate, young learners rethink the reasoning,
assessing the ideas present.
