Foreo LUNA mini – as named itself is the mini version of their predecessors – Foreo LUNA - The little hi-
tech facial cleansing device which made transformation in facial care routine of many people. After Luna
Mini 2, Now her little sister is here – LUNA mini 3 – and you might be wondering what’s new with
FOREO’s latest LUNA? So, Let’s get started!

Design & Color

According to the specifications, The Luna mini 3 measures 80 x 78 x 38 mm and the Luna Mini 2
measures 75 x 80 x 28.5mm. The Luna Mini 3 is lightly smaller with lighter weight than Luna Mini 2 and
both are small enough to carry in your gym bag or travel bag.

When it comes to material, they are made from ultra-hygienic silicone that’s bacteria resistant, and you
should be assured that the touch points are very soft against the skin without sacrificing efficiency.

These mini versions have thin and flexible touchpoints on the front of the device to target normal areas
and sensitive areas, with the larger sizes on the back to target oily areas like the T-Zone. Additionally,
the Luna Mini 2 has small zone on top of it, which is especially suitable for hard-to-reach areas (like the
sides of the nose and underneath the eyes).

Another distinction is about power button: Luna mini 3 has one power button located on the back of
Foreo, as for Luna Mini 2, they have one power button as well as plus and minus button to control the
intensity on the front.

If you are a crazy fan of Foreo colours, don’t worry since the Luna Mini 3 comes in 5 different colour
variations which include: Mint, Fuchsia, Midnight, Pearl Pink, Sunflower Yellow and Mini 2 version even
offers one more color – Aquamarine. These colour variations are simply aesthetic on not targeted at
your skincare concerns or skin type.

As you can see, Foreo has made some differences in the design but I personally think that they are not
significant to distinguish between the two versions. The choice is up to you. But for me, I would love to
have a Luna Mini 3 since I love travelling and it is slighter, though not much.

Technical features

Both of these amazing devices offer superb facial cleansing with pulsation of 8,000 T-Sonic transdermal
sonic every minute - these sound waves will be able to loosen up 99.5% of dirt, oil and makeup residue
deep into your pores, without being harsh or irritating. Sonic waves increase the blood circulation, so
your skin has a healthy radiant glow and it exfoliates without harsh chemicals or physical exfoliating
ingredients.

The LUNA mini 3 scores over its counterpart with the amount of intensity levels during your massage
with up to 12 levels, while the LUNA mini 2 only has 8. On top of this, the LUNA mini 3 by FOREO has the
Glow Boost Technology built in, which is a special 30-second cleansing program to give your face a
glowing effect, so there will be no excuse for not cleasing your face with only 30 seconds needed!

And here we come to the most outstanding advantage of Luna Mini 3: It is app-connected, interactive
and extremely personalizable – you can set your own cleansing preferences via the FOREO For You app.
Through the app you can connect the LUNA mini 3 to your Bluetooth and then use your smartphone to
control the intensity and routine of your facial cleansing. Furthermore, you will never have to worry
again about misplacing your miracle device since the app also helps you to locate your cleansing device
by justing select the “Find My Device” option, you will hear the buzzing of your Luna Mini 3. However,
this fancy improvement makes some people skeptical of its convenience since you have to bring your
smart phone with you when using the cleaser to activate its features.

In term of cleasing features, from my own experience, I do not notice any differences from the LUNA
Mini 3 in its ability to efficiently clean my skin. However, I will say thay if you have combination to oily
skin thay you might actually prefer the LUNA Mini 2 because its back side offers the larger toucherpoints
– which are perfect for effectively working the T-zone and breakout-prone parts of the skin.

As for a technology – savvy person like me, I would prefer Luna Mini 3 for its extraorrdinary experience
and Mini Luna 3 is my choice for this round!

Battery & Charging

According to the producer, The LUNA mini 3 has the better battery: it can be used 400 before recharging
it while the LUNA mini 2 can be used only 300 before recharging becomes necessary. However, for the
LUNA mini 2, it only takes 1 hours to fully charge while the LUNA mini 3 needs longer time - 1,5 hours.

To sum up, Luna 3 comes with new extraordinary features: a stronger battery, more levels of intensity
(12, to be exact!), personalized routines, longer and softer touchpoints, Glow Boost mode and the

supercool ‘Find my LUNA’ feature. LUNA mini 2 is the more affordable older version, and has fewer bells
and whistles, but it offers the same exceptional cleasing as the mini 3.

It can be a little overwhelming when you’re trying to decide between these models. So to answer which
one to buy, Luna Mini 3 certainly offer more features as it is upgraded version, but if you’re just starting
to get serious about your skincare and you on a budget, Luna Mini 2 can totally be your perfect choice.
