Dear Parents/Guardians

DIGITAL DAY

Friday, 4 June is Digital Day. The learners will log in from home. The normal Friday timetable will be followed
with adjusted times. Please see the adjusted times below. All learners must log in for register so that register
can be taken. If you have any queries about the Digital Day, please contact your child’s class teacher or
Grade Head.

JUNE EXAMS

The grade 8 – 12 exams are starting on Monday, 7 June. The Exam Timetable was published 2 weeks ago.

We wish to bring the following to your attention before the exams start:

a. In the event of your child missing an exam, it is the parent’s responsibility to notify the school by 7:30.
Contact us on: 087 097 0844. A doctor’s note stating that the learner was in no condition to write should
be handed in to the school as soon as possible.
b. All learners need to report to their exam venue 30 minutes before the start of the session.
- 7:30 for session 1
- 11:30 for session 2
c. Children are not allowed to have cell phones, tablets, or any other electronic device on them during the
exam. These will be taken in by the teacher on duty and handed back after the exam session has been
completed. Should a learner be caught with this or any loose pieces of paper, this will be regarded as an
irregularity and the matter will be dealt with according to the school’s code of conduct.
d. Only see through pencil cases are allowed. NO BORROWING/ SHARING of stationery is allowed.
e. All normal rules with regards to uniform still apply. We encourage that learners dress warmly underneath
their blazers. Small knee blankets will be allowed – but these need to remain at school in the exam venue
for the duration of the entire exam period.

f. The grade 8 and 9 learners will have to be at school for the duration of the first session. (8:00 – 11:00).
They will have break until 11:30 and have a study session from 11:30 – 13:00 Please ensure that your
child has study material at school for the next day. Demerits will be issued if they do not. Should you
wish to collect your child at 11:00 daily, you need to notify the school in writing before the start
of the exams. Please email your notification to Ms Schroeder (debbie.s4@curro.co.za) by
Thursday, 3 June. If your child stays until 13:00, please ensure that he/she is fetched by 13:30.
g. The grade 10 – 12 learners only have to be at school for the session that they write. There are venues
where they can study, should they be at school for the entire day. Please ensure that your child is fetched
with 30 minutes after the end of the session.
h. No learner will be allowed to be outside on the grounds during exam sessions if they do not write. They
are also not allowed to roam about the estate or loiter at the entrance.
i. Grade 10 – 12 learners MUST arrive by 11:00 for screening. They will be screened at the tuckshop area
and proceed to the exam venue.
