All switches should be checked regularly to assure safe and


efficient operation. When adjustments are performed to any
switch, make certain the locking devices are tightened to

Hydraulic Auxiliary and Tilt (without extended tilt

1. Loosen switch mounting screws.

2. Position switch so roller is approximately 0.012 in./


0.30 mm above center of cam’s V-groove. See Illustra-
tion 1.

4. Rotate control lever to move cam up and down. Switch


should close when cam travels 0.057 in./1.45 mm in both
directions. Refer to Illustrations 2 and 3. Also verify switch

resets when control lever is released and cam is in

neutral position. Readjust switch as necessary.

5. Tighten both screws to secure switch.

For reference, Illustration 4 shows roller location on cam in


the maximum raised position (0.28 in./7.1 mm travel).

RAS
Raise Switch

1. Loosen switch mounting screws.

2. Position switch so roller is approximately centered on

lower ramp of cam’s upper groove. (See Illustration 5)

3. Slightly tighten switch mounting screws.

4. Rotate control lever to move cam up. Switch should 0.03 in./0.76 mm-
close when cam travels 0.03 in./0.8 mm (See Illustra- Switch Closed
tion 6). Also verify switch resets when control lever is
released and in neutral position. Readjust switch as
necessary.

For reference, Illustration 7 shows roller location on cam in


the maximum raised position (0.28 in./7.1 mm travel), and
Illustration 8 in the maximum lowered position (0.28 in./7.1
mm travel).

Tilt Back Switch (with extended tilt option)
1. Loosen switch mounting screws.
2. Position switch so center of roller is in line with bottom
edge of cam’s top groove. See Illustration 9.
3. Slightly tighten switch mounting screws.
4. Rotate control lever to move cam up. Switch should
close when the cam travels 0.045 in./1.14 mm. (See

5. Tighten both screws to hold the switch secure.

ACS
Accelerator Switch Cam
1. Place a 0.075 inch thick shim between accelerator
mount and buffer.
2. Loosen the two #6 screws so switch can be moved
freely. Slide switch roller against cam as shown in Switch
Illustration 12. The switch should be actuated. Actuated
3. Tighten the #6 screws to secure the switch.
4. Remove shim from between accelerator mount and
buffer.
5. Rotate accelerator lever several times to verify switch
is not actuated when accelerator lever is in its neutral

Parking (Hand) Brake Switch

1. Loosen switch mounting screws.

2. Adjust switch so it actuates when parking brake handle


rotates approximately 7 to 10 degrees from set (brake
“on”) position or actuates as handle is moved into the
first ratchet notch/position. Switch should reset when
returned to full forward position.

3. Tighten switch mounting screws.

forward. Raise mast at full speed. Lift cutout should
occur within 6 in. (150mm) of fork height staging. Any 7812 ILLUSTRATION 18
accessories on the truck (sideshift etc.) should still be
operational at this point.

NOTE

The measurement in step 8 is not adjustable.

9. Verify tilt cutout by tilting mast back and raising mast


above the lift cutout point. Tilt mast forward at full speed
until tilt cutout occurs. Tilt cutout should occur at 2° ±
15'. Any accessories on the truck (sideshift etc.) should
still be operational at this point.

10. Remove inclinometer and install floorboard cover.
