Introduction
This short guide provides the basics on how to use the ADP and e-NP software from the
UKHO.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please note this guide does not provide information on how to install / activate or update
the software. Please refer to the eChart DVD for this.

Running the ADP software:

Step 1: ADP software is split into 5 main icons:

Admiralty Digital List of Admiralty Digital Radio Admiralty Digital Radio

Lights: Signals Volumes 1345: Signals Volume 2:
ADLL ADRS1345 ADRS2

Admiralty Digital Radio Admiralty Total Tide:

Signals Volume 6: ATT
ADRS6

Step 2: Simply double click the icon to load the respective software.

Using the ADP software:

TotalTide:

• In this example we will show TotalTide.

• Once TotalTide is open the screen will look like this:

• Areas you have activated is shown here:

a. Green means you have the area
b. Red means it is not part of your licence.

• Time and date for the Tidal Prediction is shown here:

a. Change the date and time to change the prediction

b. Zoom in on the area world you are interested to find the Tidal prediction for.

• To view more information double click the respective icon.

Admiralty Digital List of Lights:

• Admiralty Digital List of lights works in a similar way to TotalTide.
• Simply double click on the Light to view information:

• The detailed information for the light is shown in the tab.

• If you right click on the Light, you can view how the light will look:

• We will only show you Admiralty Digital Radio Signals volume 6, but all volumes work
in the same fashion.

1. You can also filter the radio stations in the following menu strip, the filters are
different in each software based on the information displayed:

Running the e-NP software:

• E-NP only has 1 icon:

e-NP Reader

• Simply double click the icon to load the software.

Using the e-NP software:

Step 1: Open Admirality e-Reader (once opened you will see this screen).

Step 2: To View the Books you have in your licence, click the Book Shelf button (if not
already in this section as shown above).

Step 3: Then click the All Publications button.

Step 4: A list of all books is shown:

a. Any book with a Star icon next to the title is part of your licence and installed.
b. Any other item is not part of your licence.

IMPORTANT NOTE: According to SOLAS regulations V/19 2.1.4 & 2.1.5 it is mandatory to
install, activate and update the ADP software and the e-NP software on at least 2 different
(MAIN and BACKUP) PC's aboard your vessel!
