PREFACE

The Directorate of Economics & Statistics (DES) brings out the


publication of ‘Some Basic Statistics of Tripura’ on regular basis. The present
publication for the year 2020 is the 27th issue in the series. The data for the
latest available year is given in the issue of the ‘Some Basic Statistics of
Tripura’ for 2020.

It is hoped that this publication will be useful to the Planners, Policy


makers, Academicians as well as Researchers in studying the socio-economic
aspect of Tripura.

I am Thankful to various Departments/Organizations of Central and
