To immunize the population against COVID-19.

Project Description ( High-Level):


The project aims to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to priority groups, including healthcare workers, frontline
workers, and the elderly, covering a total of 300 million people in the first phases.

Project Boundaries:
Vaccination is not for infants.

Key Deliverables:
- Vaccination of 300 million priority individuals in initial phases, at least first dose.
- Establishment of vaccination sites
- Public awareness

Requirements( High-Level):
- Availability of vaccines (COVISHIELD and COVAXIN)
- Adequate cold chain infrastructure
- Trained healthcare personnel
- Digital platform for booking and tracking
- Public communication and aware
- Maintaining social distancing

Overall Project Risk:


Medium-High vaccination may not immune or side effects.

Scope:
To ensure the widespread immunization against COVID-19 to reduce or eliminate impact of the virus.

Cost:
Estimated budget: INR 35,000 crore (approximately USD 4.8 billion)
