3 D Pa p e r c r a ft is a r t of cr e a t in g 3D objects from paper. Principl e is s i mp l e ,
you c u t t h e t e m p la t e p a r t s , fold them along folding lines and use the e x tr a
f l ap s o n t e m pla t e t o g lu e p a r t s together. I n essence every connecting e d g e
and f l a p a r e n u m b e r e d , a n d you just need to match the number on the e d g e
w i th t h e o n e on t h e fla p a n d g lue them together.

W H AT Y O U W I L L N E E D

PAPER
D e p e n d in g on the template, you might need paper i n
d iffe r e n t colors. For best results thicker paper ( 1 80 g s m
or m or e ) is preferred.

CUTTING TOOL
You ca n u s e whichever tool you prefer l ike Cutting k ni f e ,
S ca lp e l, Box cutter, Scissors as l ong as it’s sharp.

RULER
D e p e n d in g o n your cutting tool of choice, a metal l ic r ul e r
w ill h e lp you cut straight lines.

GLUE
G lu e s u it a b le for paper. I t needs to dry fast but l e ave
e n ou g h t im e so you can position the flaps correc tl y. A
fa s t a ct in g wood gl ue will work too.

CARDBOARD
For s om e t emplates you will need a piece of cardb o ar d
t h a t w ill cover the whol e “base”. I t’s used to harden the
im p or t a n t p arts ( l ike the backface which you’l l us e to
h a n g t h e m o del to the wal l or bottom to make it s tand
fir m ). 1m m - 2 mm thick cardboard is preferred.
