RESOLUTION AMENDING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL

YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2023, RECOGNIZING SURPLUS FUNDS
RECEIVED FROM PROPERTY ROOM IN THE AMOUNT $89.27.

WHEREAS, the City of Biloxi regularly confiscates, collects, seizes and maintains

certain items of personal property which were not acquired using City of Biloxi funds,

including weapons not used in the commission of a crime; and

WHEREAS, the City and its Police Department may dispose of Surplus Property

in accordance with the laws of the State of Mississippi; and

WHEREAS, the City of Biloxi entered into an agreement with Property Room to

provide a service, including the sale, auction or other disposition of surplus property;

and

WHEREAS, Property Room has provided sales of surplus property in the amount

of $89.27 requiring the budget to be amended in receipt of such funds into Account No.

01511-6294 namely Small Tools/Minor Equipment; and

WHEREAS, Director Miller intends appropriations to be expended towards Small

Tools/Minor Equipment for police services.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL

OF THE CITY OF BILOXI, MISSISSIPPI, THAT:

SECTION 1. The findings, conclusions, and statements of fact contained in the

foregoing preamble are hereby adopted, ratified, and incorporated herein.

SECTION 2. The Police Department Budget of the City of Biloxi for the fiscal

year to end September 30, 2023, is hereby amended to accept and recognize revenue

from Property Room from the sale of surplus property in the amount of $89.27 to

Account No. 01511-6294 Small Tools/Minor Equipment.

 SECTION 3. This resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after

adoption.
