related field (10+ years managing diverse land use projects)
REDD+ Advantage: Familiarity with REDD+ implementation is a plus
Ecosystem Expertise: Extensive experience in ecosystem restoration
and resource management
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, managing teams, overseeing
complex initiatives.
Communication Mastery: Excellent communication and collaboration

Legal Know-How: Knowledge of relevant laws, peatland regulations,

Project Description:
The Nusantara Raya Solusi received its PBPH license from the
government of Indonesia in 2023 and has quickly assembled a
proficient program team on the ground, Central Kalimantan. The project
is situated within the Kapuas and South Barito districts in Central
Kalimantan Province and seeks to protect and restore 39,835 hectares
of forests and peatland ecosystems. The project is designed to ensure
that all benefits are real, long-lasting, and passed on to those are
affected communities in the region, and to the wider State of Indonesia
in which it operates. The goal of the Project is to develop and
implement a sustainable forest management to reducing emission
from deforestation and forest degradation, habitat and ecosystem
restoration, biodiversity conservation and inclusively with increasing
economic opportunities for the local people of Central Kalimantan.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT: You will be responsible for developing and implementing
the overall project plan, including budget preparation, project timelines, and resource allocation. You
will also be responsible for managing project risks such as fire prevention and control and overseeing
land tenure conflicts assisted by our legal department and ensuring the project is delivered on time,
within budget, and to the required quality standards.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT: You must engage stakeholders, including local communities,
government agencies, NGOs, and private sector companies. You should build relationships with these
stakeholders, address their concerns, and ensure that they are involved in decision-making processes.
FOREST RESTORATION: a) You will be responsible for overseeing the forest restoration activities,
including nurseries, tree planting, forest management, land drainage, rewetting of peat areas to include
regular monitoring and control. b) You will also ensure that the restoration activities area is aligned with
the project’s goals and objectives. c) You will be responsible to ensure that the UN 17 SDG’s
(Sustainable Development Goals) are implemented fully and to monitor and report on the progress
towards these 2030 goals. d) Also, you will be responsible for the CCB (Climate, Community and
Biodiversity) standard which must be met to achieve CCB certification.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION: You will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the project’s
progress and ESG impact. You will develop appropriate monitoring and evaluation frameworks,
conduct regular assessments, and report the project’s outcomes.
REPORTING AND COMMUNICATION: Your reporting line function is to the COO (Chief Operating
Officer). However, for daily and routine activities you will be monitored by the TOP management
executive appointed and responsible for monitoring and control. You should liaise with other key
departments such as Finance, HRD, Legal and others. You should prepare regular reports on the
project’s progress to the COO. Communicate and coordinate with project stakeholders - government
departments/ consultant (s) to ensure that timely information flow is maintained at all times with TOP
management before deciding any new policies or decisions that could create a precedent. You should
also ensure that project information is well documented and disseminated to relevant parties.
TEAM MANAGEMENT: You will be responsible for managing the project team, including involving thru
HR in hiring, training, and supervising staff. You should provide guidance and support to the project
team and ensure that they have the necessary resources to carry out their work effectively.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: You will be responsible for managing the project budget, including
preparing financial reports, monitoring expenses, and ensuring that the project is financially sustainable
within the financial guidelines provided by the Board of Directors (BOD).
CARBON ASSESMENT, VALIDATION AND VERIFICATION: To take all necessary action to ensure the
optimum timeline is achieved on our VCU’s assessment validation and verification by supporting full
coordination with TOP management and providing auditable data to the appointed consultant(s) and
ensuring the correct methodologies of Verra and/or SRN are complied with.

Additional Information:
