The story behind Martian Racing Federation

Where Gaslands was a post-apocalyptic of vehicular mayhem, Martian Racing

Federation was a sleek joyride for hover-cars on the fourth planet from the
sun. Better funded, more advanced, less brutal… and so much faster. It was
Mike’s spin on his own game, using two Gaslands movement templates instead
of two. But to me, the significant development here was that Martian Racing

Federation didn’t require Gaslands to play it…

But doesn’t that mean you’re releasing a game in Blaster? Yes. Yes, it does mean

that. And so the gauntlet had been thrown. Blaster could publish games as
well. We were intoxicated with the premise. Despite warnings from our more

experienced game designers that this could lead to an arms race, with each
designer vying to create the next best game and inevitably leading us towards
burnout, we said “screw it” and promptly burned ourselves out.

Mike set about handling all of the paint, photography, and terrain himself. I
remember him posting updates on the hover cars and how inspiring they were
for such a simple idea. This game is still brought up to me at conventions as a
Blaster favorite and I hope you love it as much as we do.

What is Blaster: Archives

e
Blaster's journey started with humble expectations for it’s content but it quickly
evolved into a platform for publishing remarkable games like Sludge and
BRUTL! Tank Arena. This inspiring experience led to the birth of Electi Studio,

my own place to dedicate myself to building a better creative process for making
legendary tabletop games.

As time passed and Blaster faced new challenges, a collective decision was
made to evolve its approach. With unanimous agreement, we embraced
a refreshed "one designer per volume" strategy, allowing us to welcome
contributors beyond the original circle, but this mean we must also archive the CONNEC T WITH US

original anthologies. This progression reflects our dedication to maintaining

Blaster's essence while expanding its horizons.

Honoring our journey, Blaster: Archives invites you to relive the past and join us
in shaping the future of tabletop gaming.

Thanks for joining us,
