Objectives:
1. Identify the basic stitches in embroidery;
2. Crete embroidered articles keeping in mind the techniques and art of
principles;
3. Follow the procedural steps in doing embroidery; and
4. Evaluate the quality/characteristics of embroidered article and packaging
presentation.

Directions: Identify the following embroidery stitches being described by


arranging the jumbled letters to reveal the word. Write your answer on the
space provided before the number.

ACTIVITY 2: CROSSWORD PUZZLE

Directions: Answer the cross word puzzle using the hint for horizontal
and vertical direction.

PERFORMANCE TASK

Perform the given task stated below.

A. Prepare all the necessary materials prior to making of your


performance task.

Materials:
1. Soft, light weighted fabrics like cotton, lawn and soft wool
are most suitable as these fabrics gather easily. (If none, you may
use old clothes) and cut it in 10cm x 6cm size. You may also use
bond paper if you still don’t have any fabric at home cut in the
same size stated above.
2. Crewel or chenille needles from 5 to 7.
3. Spool of thread.
4. Pin cushion.
5. Sewing Box.
6. Scissors.

B. On your cut fabric or bond paper, perform the following stitches


per day:

Day 1, Running, Back Stitch and Couching Stitch


Day 2, Cross Stitch, Tent And French Knot
Day 3, Holbein and Herringbone Stitch
Day 4, Blanket and Fish Bone Stitch

*Make sure you are finished doing all the stitches by


day 5 for submission.

C. Attach the finished stitches on your notebook and label them with
their corresponding names. Remember, be creative and artistic with
your lay outing. You must finish it together with the activity on the
week it was intended for. Be ready and submit it to the personnel
assigned to your area. You will be graded according to the rubrics
below. Also, answer the self-assessment questions that follows to
better evaluate your performance.
