ANIMAL FRIENDSHIP
One day, crows, deer, badgers and turtles promised to meet under a large
kesambi tree at the foot of the hill. They have been friends for a long time
and help each other in life. If the badger wants a mango, the crow will look
for it. If the crow needs shrimp, the turtle will look for it in the river. If the
deer wants to eat green grass, the crow will fly to find green grassy fields
and valleys, then show the place to his friends.

The first animals to come under the kesambi tree were deer and badgers.
They waited for a long time at that place for their two other friends.

KIJANG "Amazingly, usually the crow always comes first," said Deer.

MUSANG "Maybe he picked up a turtle," answered the badger.

While the deer and the badger were talking about their two friends, from a
distance they heard the sound of crows cawing.

MUSANG "Well, the crow has come," said the badger.

KIJANG "Yes, but the sound is not like usual," said the deer.

A few seconds later the crow had landed on the deer's back.

MUSANG "Why's it late, bro?" asked the badger.

GAGAK "The tortoise is nowhere to be found," answered the crow.

KIJANG "Aren't you looking for it?" asked the deer.

GAGAK "I looked around his residence, but I couldn't find it. I came here
immediately so that you wouldn't wait full of questions. Now, I'm going
back to look for turtles. You guys are leaving too. Later we'll meet near the
big rock at the bend in the river, said the crow.

KIJANG "Yes, fly immediately," said the deer.

The crow immediately opened its wings, flying quickly while cawing in the
sky. He flew around here and there, then headed towards a valley. With a
sharp eye, he looked down to find the turtle. For almost an hour he circled
above the valley, but he did not see the turtle.

When the crow was almost desperate to find his friend, suddenly a small dot
appeared in the middle of the rice field. He immediately turned the bow
towards that point. When he got closer, he saw a man carrying something.
The crow was interested in the person's arms. After careful inspection, it
turned out that the sling was a trap net. The crows increasingly wanted to
know the contents of the neatly tied net. He flew low towards the man.
What a surprise he was when he saw the turtle's feet sticking out from
between the holes in the net.

Without thinking, the crow immediately flew to meet his two friends, the
deer and the badger. They had been waiting near a large rock at a bend in
the river. The crow landed hastily.

"Poor friend," said the raven, panting.

GAGAK
"What happened to the turtle? Asked the Deer.
KIJANG
"He was captured by the king of the forest."
MUSANG
"Where did you find him?" asked the badger.
MUSANG
"In the middle of a large rice field. Turtles tied in a trap net. The king of the
MUSANG forest is heading southeast. I think he will pass on the southern road because
there is no other road that can cross this river."

"As soon as the king of the forest passes, I will immediately attack him,"
MUSANG said the badger.

"The king of the forest usually carries a gun," said the deer. "If you attack,
KIJANG it's fine if he hits you with his weapon. Moreover, the king of the forest is
already trained in using his weapon. You could be hurt if you attack without
calculation."

"It's okay if I die to defend my friend," answered the badger.

MUSANG
"If you love the turtle," said the deer, "we have to be united, we arrange the
best way possible so that the turtle can escape from the king of the forest."
"Yes, that's a good thought," said the crow. "Let's now discuss how to find
the best way to help the turtle."

The three animals exchanged ideas to help the turtle. After deliberating for a
long time, the three of them went south to organize their strategy.

Deer and crows are ready in the fields near the river, while the badgers are
hiding in the bushes near the road where the king of the forest will pass.
After a while the deer and crows waited, the king of the forest appeared.
The crow screamed loudly and then pretended to attack the deer. Deer jump
here and there to avoid attacks by crows.

The king of the forest was very interested in seeing the crow fighting with
LION the deer. He thought, "Wow, the deer that is fighting with the crow is very
fat. Its meat must be easy to eat. When fighting like that, it must be careless
and I can easily catch it."

The king of the forest put his sling on the ground at the edge of the road.
Slowly he passed between the shrub trees that grew there. He sneaked up to
the deer which was fighting with the crows. After getting a little closer, the
deer jumped and the crow flew a little away.

When the king of the forest was trying to approach the deer, the badger
came out of hiding and went to the carrier that the king of the forest had
placed. With its sharp teeth, the badger quickly broke the rope that tied the
turtle. In just a few minutes the turtle was free.

"Thank you, my friend," said the turtle to the badger.

MUSANG
"Quickly throw yourself into the river!" said the badger. "You'll be caught
MUSANG again later."

Quickly, the turtle ran and entered the river. Meanwhile, the badger
immediately entered the thicket of thorny bamboo, screeching loudly.

Hearing the badger's small and loud voice, the deer and crow understood
that the turtle was free and safe. The crows flew into the air, cawing
happily, while the deer immediately ran fast towards the bushes.

The king of the forest was surprised because the fight between the deer and
the crows ended without anyone intervening. Then, he took the turtle he had
caught, to his surprise, he only found the trap net torn.
