Toby's Routine
Toby does the same thing every day. He wakes his human at five a.m.
His human lets him out into the back yard to do his business. Then Toby
comes in and enjoys some treats. An hour or so later, his human takes
him for a walk. Then they share his human's breakfast.
While his human works in the mornings, Toby naps. A little before noon
every day, Toby stands up, stretches, and goes to sit in front of the front
door. Then his human gets up, and they go for another walk.
In the afternoons, after they have shared his human's lunch, his human
goes back to working while Toby plays with his toys and chews on a
rawhide bone. They take a third walk around three in the afternoon, and
at four, Toby's human gives Toby his dinner. Sometimes it is chicken.
Sometimes it is beef. After he eats dinner, Toby likes to go back out into
the back yard and sniff around. Later, while his human eats his dinner,
Toby enjoys another treat. He ends each day on the sofa beside his
human, legs in the air, getting a belly rub. It's not a bad life for a dog!
