RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HON. ALAN I B.

ECLEO, CONGRESSMAN OF
THE LONE DISTRICT OF DINAGAT ISLANDS TO ALLOCATE FUNDS IN THE
AMOUNT OF TWO MILLION PESOS (2,000,000.00) FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION/ESTABLISHMENT OF SOLAR-POWERED STREET LIGHTS
FROM PUROK 1 TO PUROK 6 IN BARANGAY PUERTO PRINCESA, BASILISA,
DINAGAT ISLANDS

WHEREAS, RA 7160 otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991 delegated
specific functions and responsibilities to the Local Government Unit particularly on the effective
and efficient delivery of basic services and facilities at the local level;

WHEREAS, constrains in local funds, the barangay could not fully implement the provision of
basic facilities needed in the delivery of services to its constituents;

WHEREAS, it is the primary responsibility of the government to protect its constituents against
all forms of crimes and any untoward incidence especially during night time and in maintaining
peace and order situation in the locality;

WHEREAS, the existing barangay street lights located only in some of its areas were many are
non-operational because of its high costs of maintenance that the barangay could hardly provide;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Hon ________________________, Barangay Kagawad

duly seconded by ________________.

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED to request the HON. ALAN I B. ECLEO,

Congressman of the Lone District of Dinagat Islands to allocate funds for the
CONSTRUCTION/ESTABLISHMENT OF SOLAR-POWERED STREET LIGHTS
FROM PUROK 1 TO PUROK 6 IN BARANGAY in the amount of TWO MILLION
PESOS (2,000,000.00) in Barangay Puerto Princesa, Basilisa, Dinagat Islands.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be submitted to the Office of the Hon.
Congressman Alan 1 B. Ecleo and other concerned offices for appropriate action and
consideration.
